What would you buy the moment it came on DVD if it was ever released?

You are aware that WKRP is available now, but with all the music replaced, aren’t you?

Season 1 came out on DVD a couple of years ago (I stumbled across it at Best Buy one day, and snapped it up). Alas, while it has some of the original music, much of it has been re-dubbed with vaguely sound-alike stuff (it kills me that Les is no longer getting ready for his big date with Jennifer to the sound of Foreigner’s “Hot Blooded”). The remaining seasons haven’t yet appeared.

“The Lady Takes A Flyer”, a Lana Turner/Jeff Chandler movie from 1958 that ran constantly during the 90s on AMC but never even got a VHS release
complete series of “Eight is Enough”, “America/Fernwood 2Night”, and the sixties “Batman”
“Night Flight” the all night mix of videos and movies that used to run on USA in the early 80s
early MTV game show “Remote Control”
“Beavis and Butthead” with the videos intact

Yes. Hence me saying that the music goes without saying

The 1966 BATMAN tv series. Alas rights problems are keeping this and THE GREEN HORNET in limbo.

Chicago Hope.

Oh yeah, it’s two movies separated. But actually that means it’s the longer edit, I’m not sure Planet Terror is any different, but Deathproof as released as a single movie is being released as the Cannes edit version. And the trailers are on both movies. So, what’s the interest, except to see if both movies could work as one big standalone? I havent seen the US edit, but I really loved the Deathproof longer edit.

But the music was an integral part of the show. It’s like salt in cooking. You don’t necessary notice it’s there, but you sure as hell notice when its not there or replaced.

In a flat second! It stars a significant number of current prominent actors, it was directed by a starting-out Brian/Tollins/Daviola crew now famous for many shows, and written by the fledgling writers who now write for primetime.

Love to get it, too!

If we’re listing stuff that has come out but not in our region, add Daria to my list.

What’s Alan Watching?” with Corin Nemic and Eddie Murphy.

Eddie in his prime. Funny stuff. Only shown on TV once and never seen again, in DVD or otherwise.

Check out some clips here.

Nash Bridges.

Cause I’m an old lady like that.

The John Larroquette Show.

It’s coming from Shout Factory.

A good, widescreen print with clean sound of Taras Bulba (Yul Brynner/Tony Curtis version).

Possibly you don’t like the sound, but I gave my mother a copy of a widescreen print DVD of Taras Bulba for Christmas this year.
It was used. I’m not sure when it was released. Wikipedia says the March 2008 release was the first DVD release

Any of the lost Dalek and Cybermen stories from Doctor Who, if the Beeb ever get around to reconstructing them in the same way they did The Invasion.
