You should print out all of the responses you got here to show to her when you meet her again. Kind of break the ice with “it looks like you have quite a few people who side with you”.
I think the two of you will have a long and happy friendship together, as you seem quite suited for each other.

Well, as it turns out, I don’t have to bother responding. She called me around 6:00 and we talked for over an hour. She’s coming over on Wednesday. All I can say is 
Have coffee and cake, and at least a couple of boxes of Kleenex for when she visits.
A kitten or a puppy would not be out of line either.
