It’s been out of production for years now. It premiered back in the late 80s when everyone was searching for the next big “sports entertainment” hit when the WWF was riding a big crest of popularity. Each episode featured two “contenders” who competed against a team of “gladiators” in pseudo-athletic events like “Joust” and “Powerball.” Each week’s winner advanced to the next round until the grand championship and a winner was crowned.
