Whatever happened to "Joyce K., Seattle" from the early Straight Dope books?

I have a couple of those first books, and happened to notice that one Joyce K. from Seattle was a frequent correspondent to the column in Ye Olden Days. She had a number of questions published and was obviously an enthusiastic reader.

When the Internet arrived, did she ever find her way to the SDMB? It seems incredible that she would not, unless some sort of restraining order was issued in the interim. Is she among us, even now?

Are you there, Joyce K.? It’s me, Terrifel.

Good question. I just wanted to post and say I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’d almost rather meet Joyce K than Cecil. (almost, I said;)). She was a delightful regular on Cecil’s column, back in the day.
