Whatever happened to the cyclist who blocked the Audi in NYC while it got stomped on?

This happened about a year ago during fashion week. Stories and videos below. Just wondering if they ever found the guy. And what might have happened to him in the legal system. Anyone know. I Googled quite a bit but couldn’t find anything other than year-old articles.

The cyclist didn’t damage the audi, so prosecution is not likely to succeed.

Anyway, the cyclist look … well one particular ethnicity…what would you say ? . so what do you expect to occur there ?

BUt they’re not looking for him for damage caused to the Audi. There’s a video. No one is c,aiming he damaged the Audi. But, evidently, he might be able to be help responsible for the damage because hi was preventing the motorist from leaving or “inciting a RIOT”. I am not a lawyer, but it does seem from the articles–and the video–that he did have some responsibility.

Can you translate this? I’m not getting your point. Are you saying there is a racial component? If so, what is it?

I wouldn’t say the cyclist looks of any particular ethnicity (unless hipster is an ethnicity, now).

The crowd, on the other hand, appears to be mostly black.* I don’t know how relevant that is, except to note that a mostly homogenous (i.e. sharing a common trait**) group is more easily incited than a diverse group.

  • This is NYC so we can’t be sure they’re Americans (it is home to the UN, after all) and I didn’t see or hear anything particularly African about them.

** it could be culture, religion, profession, social status (i.e. wealthy, successful, struggling, etc.), or anything else that creates a subconscious sense of “us”-ness
