I usually drink tea with chocolate before I go to sleep, but now I’ve decided to try and eat something healthier.
I just don’t know what. Any ideas? What do you guys have with your tea?

Fruit, nuts, or perhaps a darker chocolate.
I eat yogurt with my tea, but that might not be for everyone. You could go for one of the higher protein healthier yogurt options.
Dates and figs are a nice snack and they help move things along as nature intended.
Graham crackers?
Dark chocolate-covered fruit or nuts? Still chocolate, but with some added fiber and/or protein.
Ooh, good call! Trader Joe’s makes dark chocolate covered almonds with turbinado sugar and sea salt that I am completely addicted to. Highly recommended, but approach with caution
Peek Freans’ Digestive Biscuits.
Since the only two beverages I consume most days are tea and water my answer is “everything”. Anything that’s a healthy snack you can eat with your tea.
Now, healthy snacks - lately I’ve been favoring home-made trail mix: dried fruit and nuts, no candy included. You do have to be careful not to overdo the quantities. Fresh fruit is also a good one. Cheese and crackers (again, don’t overdo quantity). Raw vegees.
Snacking before sleeping?
Please forgive me, but that seems like such an alien concept to me, I have to know more.
Why do you do this? Does it help you sleep?
Yep, it goes straight to fat.
I guess, if anything, maybe a fruit.
A slice of non-white bread of some sort. Oatmeal, whole grain, one of those fancy artisan breads that sell for $5 in the bakery dept. of an upscale grocery store. Even the canned brown bread you eat with baked beans. Toasted and spread with a little almond butter, cashew butter, or natural peanut butter, or cream cheese.
It actually makes it harder to sleep because the chocolate has caffeine in it. The tea I have is caffeine free.
I do it because I’m addicted to tea before bedtime. I think it’s a Russian thing. In any event, I was raised to have tea before bed and now I’m addicted.
I have tea with chocolate simply because I love chocolate and it’s fantastic with tea.
I drank tea with sugar and canned evaporated milk before bed since I was 12 years old. I think it IS a Russian thing, as is the spiced orange tea mix. My mom’s Russian Orthodox church sold buckets of this at every church doing. (will provide recipe upon request).
That’s untrue. Calories don’t know what time it is.
Your body does know if it is active or not when it metabolizes those calories.
If you’re still within a range of eating fewer calories than you have expended, then it doesn’t matter.

just darker chocolate that’s healthy & you can get used to it. 70% is what you want, approach gradually.
You can have whole grain biscuits to go with you tea. I think this is by far the best to eat with you tea.
Do you have to eat *anything *with tea? Can’t you just have the tea? (Commonly drunk by Brits before bedtime too, well, at anytime really).
