I’m throwing my vote to the first three quarters of the Orange Bowl. It beats out the Alamo Bowl by being a clear victory for WVU. Those last-play wins were nerve-wracking, but they didn’t really help determine the excess of power for the winner that some of the “upset” games did.
While we’re at it, do you anticipate the Big Game making it to the Best Bowl Game status?
Nothing wrong with a shootout when the game involves 2 of the 3 best offenses in the country. Wisconsin actually had a highly rated defense, not that it mattered. What made it the best to me is that both teams seemed desperate to win. I didn’t get that sense from Stanford, and Oklahoma State was let down to not be in the championship.
I don’t think the championship will be that good because it is a rematch. If Alabama wins, then LSU will still have the better record, the far better schedule, and have rolled into Alabama and beat them on their home turf.
Believe it or not, I’m more looking forward to tonight’s GoDaddy game than I am the BCSCG. The fact that the teams are legit champs of their conferences and that the “lower conferences” are kicking ass in the percentage wins category, suggests this may be the best yet in terms of guts and glory.
The winner (#) will move into the 11-2 or 11-3 group and will only have seven teams with better scores, thus making a strong case (in my opinion) for the Top Ten in the AP poll.
