What's better than teleportation in an overbooked MMP?

My neighbors had two cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets today. Want to know how I know, because they threw their trash in my parking pad.
I am trying very hard to cool off before I say something to them.
Very hard.

I am tired of the fighting, I am tired of the partying, I am tired of the loud music, and now trash in my yard.
Unless you are paying my fucking bills, do NOT expect me to clean up after you, and even if you are paying my bills, leave trash laying around and you are likely to find it in your bed.

They need to move to Baltimore, I think I will suggest it to them.

sari, what spidey and Mooooooom said about bennies. The company that I irk for also offers some student loan compensation if your degree is in a field that they are in need of. We also get discounts from some of our clients and other companies eg, I have one from MetLife for my car, bike and renter’s insurance and it is payroll deducted. Options also include flex spending and health savings plans that are pre tax for things like medical bills, child care, etc.

Good for Louie, butters. I hate it when a pet is sick. I would almost rather be sick myself.

Had my shadow for an hour today. I was impressed with her questions. If that’s any indication, she might be a good fit. I have to get things done to prep for the weekend. I volunteered to be on staff for the heathen’s booth at Pride for two hours (it will likely take two hours getting in and out of Nashville on top of that) and am going to an all day housewarming/hootenanny Sunday. The company will be good at both places, but it means that I will have to hit the supermarket Friday evening (might just hit the Kroger in Lavergne instead of three sto’s) and make something in the crock Saturday and some finger food for Sunday once home.

The skies have opened, but it’s bright to the west, so the storm is moving thru pretty fast.

Shrimps have been cooked and cut up. Ten tortillas have been rolled up with either ham and swiss or beef and cheddar and they’re in the fridge firming up. Most of the brownies and all of the lemon squares are plated - there are still some more brownies, and I may make another batch of lemon squares… not sure yet.

But for now, the dishwasher is sloshing along and I’m about to assume the knit position. I’s tahred!!

Some people are shopping now rather than wait for Prime Day. Just what I need; some extra hours at my busiest time of the year. Oh well ----- joys of adulthood.

Today I’m wearing the green shroom. I’s so asslegant.

I couldn’t fall asleep before midnight. I woke before 5.

It’s gonna be a long day.

Happy Thursday, I guess…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 78 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 94 and a fifty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. The big plan of the day is to go assist with mowage of the front forty over to the church house this mornin’. After that there shall be chillage. Chili/cheese/onion/slaw dawgs shall be sup. Fartfest to follow. That’s enough for one day’s excitatement I say.

MOOOOOOM good luck with the open house. I just know they will be so impressed with the munchies that they will be clamorin’ to contract.

Nava you fashion diva you!

Ruble I’m not shoppin’. Thus, it’s not my fault. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should make myself decent enough to go accomplish mowage. The idea is not to so much purtify as to make myself not look like the village bum, I reckon.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Morning all. In Boston, where I did a lot of tourist stuff yesterday, which led me to barely being able to get out of bed today (sore, I was). Will go a bit easier today, Science Museum and Fenway Park followed by a visit out to Concord to see an old friend.

Travel tips: DO NOT try to navigate Boston in a car; you will get lost, parking is at a premium, and getting from there to here ain’t as easy as it looks. They have lots of hop-off/hop-on bus tours and the “T” will take you most everywhere. Tip #2-The acquarium is nice, but at $31 per person it is hideously overpriced. Tip #3–BOSTON is hideouly overprices, but maybe that’s just living in a small city in Ali-bama and not used to costs on the East Coast.

Anyway, 2 days completed of the 20-day trip without major disasters; minor disasters include not bringing a jacket (it’s been 90F in Huntsville, so why would it be different in Boston, said I)–fortunately, there was a Burlington store next door to the hotel.

Alll y’all take care, I’ll try to update my travels as the opportunities present themselves. Waiting now for the hotel bus to take me to the T station.

They drive like hell to get to the fewer lane tunnel under the bay. The only reason we survived is that a trucker saw my ten year old step daughter in the back of the station wagon, and let us into his lane. I told her to “wave at the nice man”.

Happy Thorsday!

Not really happy.
I was on the phone until almost midnight last night and then woke up too early this morning.

It is grey and gloomy outside, 79 degrees working it’s way up to 86.

Irk is irksome, I nearly hung up on a client last night. I have told her before to leave politics out of the discussion. One, I am at irk and I am not going to discuss politics with a client. Two, she is the kind of person who makes me want to vote for Trump.

The neighbors started fighting outside my window at 11 last night. If I had not been on the phone with a client at the time I would have opened the window and told them to shut the fuck up.

Thanks for the more info Red.
My son has to finish this assignment today, it’s due at noon tomorrow so he wants it done tonight.
Then tomorrow he has to redo the resume and cover letter for his other class, due tomorrow night.
Too bad he can’t use the same resume and cover letter for both classes, but we think that is not allowed under the plagiarism rules.
Then he is done with these two classes.
He won’t be happy about it, but once he is done, I have a mess of yard irk for him to do.
Then his next class starts on Moonday.

Good luck with the house warming FCM

Happy travels** MetalMouse**

For a moment it looked like it was going to pour down rain any second, now the sun is out.

I think I’m done erranding, except for one last run for ice around party time. The assorted beverages are all in coolers and iced down, but in this heat, they’ll definitely need more. I’m about to start building the little sammiches - my biggest problem is lack of fridge space. But I’ll do what I must do. But first, I think I’ll have lunch. I’s hongree…

BTW, **sari **- it’s an open house for the business, not a housewarming. After 15 years, the house is warm enough. But thanks for the wishes!

I usually blame Canada

but this time I’ll just blame Flytrap.

It actually isn’t that terrible; our cap is still in effect so at 30 hours I’m outta-there. But we’re going to do the flea market again Saturday so its home at 11pm Friday, up at 4am Saturday and then a Double-Jungle Sunday. :smack: Partly self-inflicted of course which is why I write it off as the joys of adulthood. I regret that I have nothing to lose but my post count.

Who’s quieter, cats…or the FedEx guy? They could, yanno, ring the doorbell when dropping off a box; cost him/her all of about 1 second.
I ‘lost’ a couple thousand dollars. I accidentally deleted the solitaire app from my phone . :frowning:
No, it’s not real money, & yes, I can (& already have) reinstall it, but I [del]wasted a lot of time[/del] worked hard to build up that bankroll.

Fixed my dashcam, though the instrux state that you must do it on a Win7 machine. Wonder if you can do it on a Win10 box or iffn people need to go hunting.

The vacuum cleaner sucked at sucking; the turbo brush wouldn’t work at all. I tooked it apart; there was a partial clog, mainly from a lollipop stick & a partial crayon wrapper. It now sucks properly, which means it no longer sucks at sucking…Got that?
Gotta finish all of the stairs later. (I only did those below the landing because otherwise I would have needed to move the vacuum, which would have meant standing up.)

Death penalty offense? At least a wounding offense??? IOW, can we shoot him…please…pretty please?

…At least with a paintball gun?

And now we wait… I’m not setting any food out till people start showing up. The coolers are out there and I just came back from an ice run. If half of the invitees show up, I’ll count it as a success.

For the moment, I’m having a blue otter pop thingie and taking a breather. My kitchen is a disaster, but it’ll have to wait.

Same thing, kind of sort of, especially when one hasn’t had enough sleep.
Somebody picked up all the trash out back.

I took Ripple to the park, looked and felt like it was going to rain, now the sun is shining.
Other than that I have been proofreading all morning and giving him ideas. I think it is done, I hope so because I don’t even know what I am reading anymore.

I have to start dinner soon, I don’t want to.
Then back to irk, I don’t want to do that either.

Just got a text from Mrs. L.A., asking me to pick up tomatoes for sandwiches tomorrow. Looks like she’s going with me to the funeral after all! Last night she said her back, which was injured on a Lava Boat Tour, would not let her make the trip.

I have spent the morning paying bills and looking at numbers. Pulling together the rest of the money for the new house is going to be interesting.

Other than that, today shall be laundry, if I’m allowed at the machines.

So far, one person has come and gone. But now is about normal quitting time, so here’s hoping people start showing up. Otherwise, we’ll be eating little sammiches and shrimp dip for supper for several days.

It’s hot. Freeking’ hot. Stoopit summer.

Howdy Y’all! I accomplished mowage, had some quality cee-mint pond time this afternoon and sup has been et and the kitchen is all cleanded. All in all not a bad day. Now ‘tis stormin’ out which is fine by me.

MOOOOOOM hope more people show up for the open house. If nuttin’ else maybe you can set up a little sammiches and shrimp dip stand in front of the house. SIL could man it even. Or Roxstar. Never to early to start teachin’ a little one to learn a trade.
