What's better than teleportation in an overbooked MMP?

It’s 6:30. So far, 3 people have come. **FCD **is really bummed. On the up side, I don’t have to make my lunch for tomorrow, or supper tonight. Or supper tomorrow.

But I’ve got all this beer to get rid of. How long can you keep beer before it goes skunky?

Glad you’re having fun metal mouse!

spidey. IME, USPS, FedEx and UPS only knock when I’m in the shower. Otherwise, I open the door to a package on my doorstep. UPS is bad about putting a box directly in front of the door, meaning if it’s something heavy, I run the risk of damaging ittrying to get the door open. Of course, Nelson does alarm me if someone is outside. :stuck_out_tongue:

Moooooooom, I hope that your open house goes well and you don’t have to eat party food for days.

It looks like it will be just me, the count coordinator and one cycle counter irking tomorrow. The quiet will be a relief.

'Twill be a busy, but fun weekend.

We put everything away at 7. At least the 3rd guy had some potentially good news - he wants **FCD **to be the supplier of a part he’s designed. Here’s hoping that comes to pass.

Meanwhile, all the food is put away, and folks at my office will be getting a big pile of brownies in the break room. And, with luck, I’ll sleep tonight. I hope. <yawn>

Doggio, did you see that flash in the sky, I believe it was the [del]Bat[/del] beer signal. We must don appropriate attire posthaste!

And, of course, I woke at 4. Dammit.

But I’ll probably just work half a day. I should be able to stay awake that long.

Happy Firday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark) with a UV index of zero (and I did so want to work on my tan while it’s still dark out!) and a predicted high of 96 and partly cloudy (mostly N.O.S.?) for the day. I shall assist with mowage over to the church house again today. Also I shall wash out the trash cans whilst there as they are in need. Could’ve done that yestiddy but didn’t want to so I didn’t. Tomorrow is also a mow day but I shan’t be doin’ so as I have to attend a breakfast over to the church house concernin’ our Legacy Society. ‘Tis all about planned givin’ and as a member of the Vestry, my presence is requested/required. Rah. Sup shall be majik intartoobz pizza just cause.

MOOOOOOM sorry y’all didn’t have a better turnout but yay on the potential customer.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must needs to make myself presentable to be out and about. Le Sigh.

Happy Firday Y’all!

I made it to the office. Now what?

Morning all. waiting for the 8:30am shuttle to the car rental place to head up to New Hampshire. Raining and high will be in the low 70’s, they say. Maybe vacationing in the Northeast in June isn’t the best idea I’ve ever had…

Yesterday was wet too, I did get to the Science Museum (saw a display of flytraps brethern there, rode over to Fenway Park (didn’t get in) and spent 5 hours in good company in Concord, MA.

Sorry to hear the low turnout, FCM–the AYSO sponsored a free movie a month ago (Kicking and Screaming with Will Ferrell) to hopefully get people out and we got–11 people for a $300 rental.

spidey, I occasionally get a ‘knock-and-run’ from UPS, but normally I just find it laying on the porch.

To all y’all, a good day and apologize if I didn’t bold your names, the hotel computer apparently finds that beyond it’s modest capabilities.

Happy Firday!

The sun was shining but it’s cloudy again. It’s 70 degrees outside, supposed to get to 81.

I overslept this morning and was one minute late for irk.
I hate this new computer, it takes too long to log in.
One, it makes me use a password, I don’t want to. I don’t need to, nobody is here but my son and he has the password because he uses my computer for his school irk. I can’t figure out how to change the picture on the screen, it always comes up with some (usually) pretty landscape, but if I am not careful where I click it will take me to Bing and I will get to learn all about the picture, where it was taken, and a whole other bunch of bullshit that is interesting but I just don’t care.
Then I get mcafee popups. It came with a free month of mcafee and I get constant popups telling me that it has expired and I am at risk and I can renew now.
I also have to figure out how to stop the notifications I keep getting on the side of the screen. Very annoying.
That will be on my list for today, figure out how to turn all this shit off.

Also to empty the mouse trap that we forgot to empty last night. I bought a more expensive trap that electrocutes the little bastards.
I wonder if I can get a bigger one for squirrels.

Swampy, are you wanting to get a Moontan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKfETKRJC_M
One of my favorite albums.

Thunderstorms took out power all over the state. We were closed yesterday and today what with no LAN and no AC.

I wish to hereby register my objections to morning, in any and all of its forms, but particularly the form that involves “the sun”.

Moomm I hope the new customer comes through.

Metal Mouse good luck on the vacation weather. The great thing about vacations is that they’re still good even if the weather isn’t perfect.

Sari good luck with the computer. Hopefully “uninstall” takes care of the McAfee issue.

I am drinking coffee and contemplating why our weather keeps going from 80 degree days to upper 90s for a few days and then back. I’d prefer the 80s, but just pick one!

Flytrap hope you get the A/C back soon, and the weather starts behaving.

TGIF

You know the rule, Pics or it didn’t happen!

Duh; surf the web, of course!

Do you strap them in first?

If I could catch them to strap them in, then I wouldn’t need the trap.

Sari’s [del]dungeon[/del] basement.

Well, there’s their problem right there. (bolding mine).

Our trip to Eastern (actually more central) Orygun was interesting but more or less a bust. We’ve missed the curve. Again. Housing prices have risen over there a lot in the last year and we probably won’t be able to afford what we want to do, but we’ll keep an eye on it for awhile anyway. :frowning:

Bathroom fan died when we came back. Had to go to Home Depot to get a replacement, but the GirlChild[sup]TM[/sup] went with so it was a fun trip. Took me longer to get that #@$%@# cover back on the fan than it did to replace the actual fan. :dubious:

Nothing else to report.

It’s Firday! (Like that makes a difference to me.)

Bumba where in Eastern Oregon are you looking?

I did my 4 hours, then came home and finished the dishes from yesterday - I was too tired last night. **FCD **and I have noshed on assorted leftovers, and I’ve been knitting in front of the TV. I plan to sleep with Mel tonight.

Daughter and Roxy are at my mom’s and they’re going to Philly tomorrow to meet up with some former coworkers. She plans to come home tomorrow night, but I think she’s insane to drive that far. Whatever works, I guess.

My only weekend plans so far involve laundry - big surprise, huh?

Evenin’ all.

We had an unexpected appearance from actual  blue sky  today. That’s the first time in weeks. It’s supposed to be similar tomorrow, when I’m working, then there’s a thunderstorm warning for Sunday, when I’m off… Oh well, the rest of the week looks OK, so hopefully I’ll manage to squeeze in the second of the day trips I’ve been trying to get round to for months; at the end of the month the county suddenly fills up with tourists and it all gets much less fun to go anywhere.

Yesterday’s trip was jolly nice- a big garden to look round in the nearly not rain, and drive back down the coast, stopping for an ice cream in a twee little seaside town, but I got a headache on the last bit of the drive so didn’t feel like posting.

Nice time at the park today.

It looked like it was going to storm, but cleared up, not too hot or humid, and a nice breeze.
At one point there were 4 pits and 1 shar pei running together and one guy said, look at all those vicious dogs out there having fun.
Later the newfie attacked the golden, for no reason anybody could see. The golden was walking by and the newfie, who had been chilling the whole time, attacked the golden.
Ripple had a good time, his friends Butterball and Thanos were there, but I think he was ready to come home sooner than we did.
He should sleep well tonight, wore his little butt out.

My weekend is laundry and weeding.
My son turned in BIG assignment, he got a B on it but still got an A in the class.
Last assignments are due at 11, and then he is done.
