What's better than teleportation in an overbooked MMP?

I don’t know. I’ve had some pretty good scoldings. :stuck_out_tongue:

20% chance of Hare Krishnas.
Waiting to glow, then explosions in the sky to Oooh & Aaah at.

Daughter decided to spend one more night with my mom, so yay! I was worried about her driving back here that late.

I just finished cleaning the critter fountain, and I loaded the dishwasher. It looks like it’ll be cool tonight, which means sleeping with the windows open - yay!! It may be the last time till fall. I’ll take what I can get.

Howdy y’all!

Pride went well this morning. I picked up groceries on the way home and fixed cilantro lime chicken, rice and cilantro lime slaw for supper.

Chilling and thinking about popping over to Sonic for some ice cream in a bit.

After a pretty good sleep, I awoke with a terribly sore throat. I can barely swallow!!

This does not bode well.

Happy Sunday, anyway.

That doesn’t sound good Mooooom, no getting sick please.
Off today, so obviously the forecast says heavy rain is imminent. The rest of the week looks OK though at least, we’ve had enough rain here for a bit. I think I may stay in and defilthify the place, it could do with it, and if I can’t do much outside anyway I may as well, even if I don’t really wanna.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

It’s 55 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 84 and be N.O.S. today.
I’m going to open the windows for a bit, should have done it last night.

I woke at 4 and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I foresee a nap on the agenda.
I think a ride out to Brusters as well, they have a Tangy Mango Sorbet Swirled with Exotic Dragon Fruit Sorbet that my son wants to try.
Sounds icky to me, but I suspect most people would like it.

I have a mess of stuff to get done today.
Same as every day.
I made a ham and broccoli last night, so the left overs will be lunch and dinner today. I shared some with the neighbor since she was sitting outside.
She seemed to appreciate it.

Sorry about your throat FCM, that is how it started when I got sick. Hopefully, it’s just allergies.

Time to get busy around here.

I thought at first it might just be draining sinuses, but since it’s just on one side of my throat, maybe not. I was able to swallow enough to have breakfast, so that’s a good sign. I guess.

I’m glad I left the house open last night, tho - the fresh air is nice. I’m going to work outside a bit today, before it gets too hot. Other than that, no real plans. Here’s hoping for a relaxing day.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN Actually been up about an hour. I went out and drained some water outta the cee-mint pond, and got a bunch of water off of the cover over the gazebo. The cover is cloth and holds water if’n it rains a lot, which it did last night. Biiiiiiiiiiiiig tstorms from around seven until around ten-thirty. TWPTB definitely did not get that right! Anywho, 'tis 72 Amurrkin out and cloudy (TWPTB say it’s N.O.S. out :dubious:) with a predicted high of 96 and partly cloudy (mostly N.O.S.?) for the day. The big plan of the day is deheathenization followed by N.O.L., which will most likely be grab a burger on the way back to da cave. I foresee nappage and maybe some quality cee-mint pond time this afternoon.

Actually MOOOOOOM and Bumba I thought I would bequeath my gold lame thong to the church. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, purtification for deheathenization and the donnin’ of appropriate attire must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I hope you feel better soonMooooooom.

sari, the mango part of the sorbet sounds really good. The dragonfruit will likely only add sweetness. It has a mild melon taste to it and is a good palette cleanser when you eat spicy food.

Up, breadfasting, caffeinating and will prep the potluck dish for the housewarming/hootenanny later.

Happy Sunday!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Watching the F1 race ,while Gordie repels the assaults of The Invisible Mole People.

Greek Orthodox Church: “We have a piece of The True Cross!”
Catholic Church: “We have a toe bone of St. Peter!”
Episcopal Church: “We have the gold lame thong of swampy!”:dubious:

Feel bettter, Moooooooommmmmmm!

Just finished my second shower of the day.

I decided to get the 3 liriope clumps moved and put the pavers in their place. It was a dirty job, but not to terrible. Then I got to looking at the garden around the deck, and it was way overgrown - the poor hydrangea was choking. So I started pulling out the nasties. And pulling. And pulling. I don’t know what they were, but they had a nasty odor. I also cut down a thorny bush - it exacted revenge on my fingers. But the bed looks a lot nicer and having a wooded yard means dumping the nasties was easy. I lurves our new wheelbarrow. It’s got 2 wheels plus a grab bar instead of 2 handles - really easy to push or pull!

On the down side, I’ve got 2 huge bites on my legs - a yellow fly or horse fly got my right calf and something else (maybe also a fly?) got the side of my left leg. I’ve slathered both spots with hydrocortisone, but they feel hot.

SIL has left for work, Daughter and Roxy are on their way home. Higgs is snoring, the house is closed up, and I’m about to get **FCD **and take him to lunch. Throat still hurts a bit, but not as raw, so there’s that.

I am technically puttering about. Today shall be 100-ish again. Booooo!

Yesterday Akiko-pup and Dais-dog had a heated discussion. It took two of us and a chair to break it up. Akiko tried to lick Daisy’s mouth while Daisy was eating. Daisy felt this was overly familiar. They had words about it. Everyone is fine, but we are watching them carefully and not allowing food near them when they are out together.

Last night, Akiko kept getting up and growling, so I kept getting up. She doesn’t usually do it, so I suspect we had a coyote or fox or raccoon posse outside.

Today shall be laziness, with a side of maybe a movie. I’m having trouble seeing out of one eye at the moment, so maybe not a movie.

Happy weekending everyone!

Hawt. 93F with heat index of 128F on one site. 93 with heat index of 111F on another. Either way it’s hawt.

Afternoon all. In Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, after flying in from Boston on a two-engine propeller plane (first time for that in about 20 years). Beautiful city completely surrounded by green swamp and wetland, almost no habitation. Have dined and now am considering sitting by the (indoor) pool for awhile and enjoying a quiet vacation day.

Butters, it’s 73F here, y’all should consider a move north (albeit come November it might be a little bit cooler…

flytrap, I have pictures but ya gotta be patient.

Best wishes, hugs, get-well-soons and otehr benevolent thoughts as required.

All y’all take care.

We were in Halifax a couple of years back, in October. yeah, it was chilly, but it was lovely!

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had a McN.O.L>, and came back to da cave. Considered the cee-mint pond but achieved nappage instead. 'Tis 96 Amurrkin out with a heat index of 104. Inside and cool is the right decision.

doggio if every cathedral in Europe that claims to have a piece of the True Cross were to get together and build the True Cross, we would be able to go outside and see it from Europe I firmly believe.

Cleaned the kitchen and fridge, vacuumed, recycled, got gas for Carmen, resewed a button on a shirt, and reorganized the junk drawer. Rewarding myself with an Old Fashioned.

Well, we are talking about a dude that fed 5000 with 5 loaves and two fishes.

Sunny, don’t you love sibling rivalry?

I left the housewarming around four, swung through Kroger for test strips and picked a salad and a used wheel of brie for supper. Before supper though, I took Nelson to the dog park. He got to hang with his chihuahua buds Patches and Blanca, the cutest dachhund evah! Watson and a labradoodle who was too scared for the big dog side (his humans asked if it was OK first).

Supper is et, I’ll do KP in a minute and chill with the documentary on the Great Depression (likely parts I and II tonight, more later).

Looking for a new one?
