What's between Lennon and McCartney on your CD(LP?) shelf?

I haven’t heard of either band - The Smiths maybe or The Ramones but not Lennon or McCartney. Are they Jazz or comical versions of real music, McCartney sounds like it would be. Lennon is probably a *Woody Guthrie *cover band. Am I right?

I’m at work, so I’ll have to guess:

Los Lobos
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Jo Dee Messina
John Mayer
Marshall Tucker
Roger Miller
Van Morrison
Don McLean
Joni Mitchell

No, no, no - you’re missing it: McCartney is the SAME as The Ramones - they got their name from this bloke in a British band (can’t quite remember which one - some dude in it was actually named Ringo) who used “Ramone” as his nom du hotel while on tour…

LPs I have between Len & Mc, not counting duplicates already listed under CDs, are:

Yep. Thought it was a typo, didn’t you?

It varies. I don’t file my collection alphabetically, but rather in order of the last time I played it. After I play a CD, it goes to the right side and slowly works its way left.

I like the system because I can say, “Hey, I haven’t played that in awhile. Let’s give it a listen.”

Imagining, for the purposes of answering this question, that a) I had any solo releases by either, and b) they were for some reason in iTunes as “Lennon, John” and “McCartney, Paul” (since sorting by artist goes by the first letter of the field, rather than the last name…), it’d be a little something like this:

Leonard Cohen: Cohen Live, I’m Your Man, More Best of, The Future, New Skin for the Old Ceremony, Songs, Various Positions
Lisa Gerrard: The Mirror Pool
Lords of Acid: Our Little Secret, Voodoo-U
Loreena McKennitt: The Book of Secrets
Los Super Seven: Heard it on the X
Lost City Angels: Self-Titled, Broken World
Lucas: ((Lucascentric))
Ludwig van Beethoven: Ninth Symphony
Luminscent Orchestrii: Three songs I downloaded from their website
Lux Occulta: Dionysos, Forever Alone Immortal
Lykathea Aflame: Elvenefris
Malevolent Creation: The Fine Art of Murder
Marilyn Manson: Mechanical Animals (how did I ever like this album? Need to delete it)
Mary Bergin: Feadoga Stain

With the same caveats noted above by LawMonkey (iTunes, etc.):

Leona Naess
Les Paul & Mary Ford
Lifesavas
Lil Flip
Lily Afshar
Link Wray
LL Cool J
Lou Rawls
Lucero
Luciana Souza
Ludwig van Beethoven
Luis Russell & His Orchestra
Luscious Jackson
Lustra
M. Ward
M.O.P.
M.U.C.H. Posse
Mac Mall
Mack 10
Main Source
Marley Marl
Massa
Massenet
Mazzy Star
MC Lite
As I look at this list, it occurs to me that I have no idea who twelve of these twenty-five artists are. I’m pretty sure they’re on compilations I’ve picked up here and there. I ought to sort all songs by number of listens, ascending, and hit play. Then start deleting stuff I don’t like and have never listened to.
