What's between Lennon and McCartney on your CD(LP?) shelf?

Pour moi:

Very Greasy
El Rayo-X
Basher
The Impossible Bird
The Convincer
At My Age
Babylon by Bus
Romances For Saxophone
Baroque Music For Trumpets
Standard Time, Vol. I

I don’t have any McCartney sans Lennon.

No need to be left out…let’s just pretend you have “Imagine”

(…and/or “McCartney” for those on the other end…or either, or both…)

I shelve my music in alphabetical order.

Between Lennon and McCartney I have Gordon Lightfoot, Lovin’ Spoonful and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Me too. I’ve got:

The Levellers
Los Lobos
Sinead Lohan
Lyle Lovett
Lungfish
Roger Manning
Bob Marley

I shelve by the color of the spine on the CD case. It creates a nice “spectrum” effect.

And I don’t have any Lenin or McCarthy, but I suspect one would be red, the other…white, maybe?

You can pit me if you want, but this is one of those “why in the fuck would anyone ask a question like this?” moments for me.

What purpose does it serve?
What do you hope to learn from it?
Why do you care?
Are you compiling a spreadsheet and intend to graphically present this somewhere?
Tell me, please?

I stole it from another forum*. I thought the concept interesting. Sorry to bother you.

And, pray tell me, why should I care about any of YOUR threads?

*And since I find your post so interesting, I’m going to post your reply there. If it inspires any amusing responses, I’ll report back

Ah, sorry. I’m just amazed sometimes at the questions posed here.
Trust me, no ill feelings and no harm intended. I just had one of those  moments.

Me too.

Annie Lennox

Despite my initial response, no offense taken.

Just a side note: with current threads like

(…Which is quite amusing, I must admit!) – Trust me, I don’t think we should have to worry about the general interest or topicality of our threads. If we can’t have fun here, where CAN we have fun?

Yoko Ono comes between Lennon and Macartney.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread just 'cause it mentioned the Beatles. But, to me, I just assumed it was “hey, if you think about it, their names are close together alphabetically - so how much of a music afficionado are you, based on how extensive your CD collection is between “Le” and “Mac”?”

No biggie - a tad pretentious, but lots of posts can drift in that direction…

I haven’t answered simply because I don’t have my CD’s catalogued in a way that is accessible at work, and because, relative to my interest in music, I really don’t have that many CD’s - a long story about being forced to pick one musical pursuit to invest in, and I chose guitar. But no surprise to see **Biffy ** and **fishbicycle ** up there in the count - talk about folks interested in music!!
