When about to set out for the field of doing heavy work for days on end:
A small bowl of lumo-lumo (freshly butchered pork loin boiled into a soup with garlic and onions.) A very simple preparation, although some folks like to enrich it with fresh pig’s blood.
A few links of spicy northern sausages (Vigan longganisa)
A few dried and fried anchovies
One piece of fried chicken
Steamed fragrant white rice
Oh, and coffee.
Two slices of toast, made from cranberry-blueberry bread.
One cup coffee.
Handful of pills.
Handful of vitamins.
Silence.
I’m not a morning person.
Steel cut oatmeal with a small pat of butter, cinnamon, and a cup of coffee.
I had some coffee awhile ago and now I’m enjoying an orange smoothie.
Gonna fry up an egg and have it over some Thai basil pork and jasmine rice from yesterday’s lunch.
I made a faux Monte Cristo by dipping a split English Muffin (crumb side out) in a mix of egg & milk. Added ham, swiss cheese, mustard, and a smear of raspberry jam. Grilled it up, served with a couple strawberries.
It was just OK. A little greasy. Needs more research.
My usual: a small glass of orange juice.

Although lately I’ve been eating a plain bagel with my coffee once I get to work, and munching on apple slices later in the morning. I used to hardly eat anything before noon.
It was a rushed morning at casa setters, so breakfast was 2 slices of Ezekiel bread toasted and spread with peach preserves, a multivitamin, and a glass of iced tea.
I tend to alternate between steel cut oats with stuff in it and a no egg scramble.
Stuff being carrots, raisins, pumpkin spice, walnuts, and vanilla yogurt for carrot cake oatmeal. Cherry pie oatmeal with vanilla, almonds and cherries. PBJ oatmeal with fresh berry sauce (that’s cherry strawberry raspberry jam that didn’t gel) and defatted peanut butter powder. Working on ginger peach with fresh peaches and ginger snaps.
Unscramble is due to the fact that I don’t really care about eggs so I make peppers and potatoes and add in various combinations of turkey sausage, center cut bacon, soy chorizo, mushrooms, and cheese. And hot sauce of course.
Fresh croissant with butter and homemade strawberry jam, and scrambled eggs and bacon.
Whole grain waffle with agave syrup
Coffee.
Though I may make an English muffin with Vegemite and olive oil margarine if I can get around to it.
EDIT: Mrs. L.A. is making scrambled eggs and toast.

Cold cereal. I have a wide variety so as not to get bored.
Today just coffee, although tomorrow I may show up at Chefguy’s place .
Today was Fage yogurt topped with sweetened mixed fruit: strawberries, blueberries, and peaches. Granola sprinkled on top, and a slice of toasted buttered ciabatta.
Bran flakes mixed with granola, walnuts and fresh strawberries. Topped with honey and milk.
Two toasted English muffin halves, margarine, Vegemite, two scrambled eggs, and cheese, put under the broiler and consumed with coffee.
