What's for dinner tonight?

Fish tacos here, too, only with cod. Most excellent.

Grilled spice-rubbed quails, mixed brown/wild rice pilaf, and sauteed summer squash with garlic.

That’s pretty much how I do beef liver. I use rice flour though, because I can’t do wheat. Add a bit of worcester to the mix too. Yum! I’d better make that dish soon.

A steak burrito al carbon with some rice and salad and a couple of glasses of sangria.

(Went to my favorite local Mexican restaurant with some friends.)

I cooked a brisket in the crockpot with some sliced onions and a little bbq sauce. We had bbq sammiches with (fresh) sliced raw onion. YUM!

Friday Date Night, so we hit a local Mexican joint for Grande Margaritas, mini-chimichanga appetizers, and combo plates of chili rellenos, tacos, and tamales.

Yum!

Sushi—cut roll of salmon-topped with mango inside; and cut roll of crab and jalapeno.
And fresh strawberries.

It’s payday saturday. Payday saturday is always burgers.

A handful of hamburger mince, formed into patties. Maybe some salt. Nothing else. We have no burger buns tonight so it’ll just be on white bread, with some cheese singles and ketchup. Nom.

Artichoke Spinach Dip from Whole Foods with sea salt pita chips.

It’s a lazy night.

My niece’s birthday party will provide me with the usual grilled picnic fare tonight.

Breakfast burritos, providing dinner as well as the week’s breakfast fodder. And a green salad.

frozen pizza, * like it much better than “real” pizza. My oven has not worked for awhile and I went out this morning to buy new earrings I bought a convection oven instead. It is big enough to cook a 12 inch pizza in it. I am excited.

A bologna sandwich and cottage cheese. :frowning: And a granola bar for dessert.

I think I’m stopping at Rally’s on the way home from work…

I made a grilled, marinated chicken dish tonight (lemon pepper marinade, garlic, sriracha, basil paste) along with a cuke, tomato, fresh basil, red onion and garlic salad drenched in vinegar and olive oil (the leavings of which I added more olive oil to and pureed into a salad dressing for later) along with some fresh green beans sauteed in butter and bacon fat.

It was damn good.

I made hash out of the last of the chili verde, topped with a couple of fried eggs.

I knew we were going to be hard at work at the new house today, making plans, so I threw some (seasoned) pork ribs in the slow cooker before we left. When we got home, I dumped in some bottled barbecue sauce, made some cole slaw, and baked some corn bread from a mix. Simple, quick, tasty.

My eleven year old great nephew was here until about 8:00 pm, so I fixed macaroni mess at his request…baked mac and cheese with hamburger and California blend veggies mixed in. Something only a kid would ask for. :stuck_out_tongue:

Salad wrap: broccoli coleslaw w/mixed greens, tomato, avocado, red onion, chicken & chunky blue cheese dressing all wrapped up in a cheddar-jalapeno tortilla. Tonight’s adult beverage: a delicious IPA from O’Dell Brewing Co.

Cleaning out the freezer and refrigerator: various samosas and chutneys, and steamed broccoli with 5 melted grated cheeses. More freezer cleaning adventures to follow the next 3 nights.

There was a housewarming party for my mom at her retirement home. She worked out a menu with the chef:

–salad with arugula, candied pecans, pears, and champagne vinaigrette
–roasted red potatoes with dilled parsnips and carrots
–coffee, lemonade, water, iced tea
–hot dinner rolls with an olive inside, butter
—braised brisket of beef (it was so very tender!)
–chocolate cream/sort of mousse pie

It was fabulous.
