Gonna marinate boneless chicken thighs in lime juice, cumin, chili powder, maybe some s&p, maybe some oil, then fire up the grill. Makin tacos with some spinach slaw.
I threw a sriracha pork poin into the oven, so to go with it:
instant pot short ribs. But my belly has been bothering me all day, and that was too rich for me tonight.
Deli tuna salad, saltines, cold Coca-Cola.
Well, I don’t know what’s on the menu specifically, but since we have at least one hundred eggs in the house, I can use that as a guide. :smack:
We have chickens, so we always have more than enough eggs. My stepson is moving away and donated his chickens to us, plus all the eggs he’s been stockpiling for like a month. I’m giving the darn things away as fast as I can!
Rigatoni and sausage, with garlic bread and a salad.
I think I’ll boil some artichokes tonight.
Scallops Provencal, a baguette, and steamed broccoli.
Macaroni and cheese, beets, and fried onions.
Some form of chicken and some roasted asparagus. I made a saffron cake for desert.
The dish turned into one of those happy inventions that sometimes occur in the kitchen. My wife had purchased a block of lemon Stilton cheese at Costco on an impulse the other day. So I thought: Hmmm. . .how about pasta with browned chicken and broiled asparagus, all tossed in a bechamel sauce made with that cheese? Turned out great, especially after a generous grind of pepper on top.
You should pickle a gallon or 2. They make great snacks. And, of course keep for awhile.
I am making cottage fries and plain old sauteed pork chops, I have spinach salad but I will probably be the only one eating it.
(First harvest of my spinach bed).
McDonalds
I’ve heard of them a million times, but I honestly don’t know, what are cottage fries?
Chunky, slow fried thin skin potatoes, I add onions. That’s my version.
Sounds good, I love potatoes in every way, shape and form. I’d enjoy cottage fries, and with the onion, yes, please!
Steaks tonight, I haven’t decided what else. I’m looking forward to it though, it’s been ages since I’ve cooked steaks.
Also known as ‘home fries’.
I boiled the four small artichokes from Trader Joe’s last night. I ate mine with melted olive oil margarine with garlic powder and salt, and Mrs. L.A. ate hers with mayonnaise. Boy, I love artichokes!
I was still a little hungry, so I had a Chile Lime Chicken Burger, ‘protein style’. (i.e., wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun.)
So what’s on the menu tonight? I don’t know. I’ve been wanting falafel.
Yes, that’s what I’ve always called them.
