Is the U.S. show scheduled for January supposed to be a continuation of Season Two, or is that supposed to be Season Three? I just got the “Season 2.0” DVD set, which appears to be a few episodes short of Season One. Googling this is inconclusive.
I didn’t miss some episodes somewhere, did I? Or did I get ripped off on the DVDs, and there’s going to be a “Season 2.1” released with the remaining episodes? Anyone know where the series is at?
From what I understand it is the completion of season 2. The SCI-FI channel takes a break in the middle of the season of BSG, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. They are all scheduled to continue their seasons on Jan 6th.
Yes, the remainder of season 2 will be on a new set. I believe it will be called “season 2.5” I would have waited for a complete season 2 set, but I got best buy gift card.
My pal who works at the Sci-Fi Channel says it’s up to Universal Home video whether they’ll release the entire Season 2 in a single package, but whether they do or they don’t, I can’t imagine that they won’t also release “S2.5” in its own set. Gross, in what way could you have been “ripped off” by the S2 DVD set? All the episodes since the end of the hiatus are on the “S2.0” set, all episodes yet to be put on DVD have also never yet been broadcast. So what’s the diff if they call it S2.5 or S3?
Well, not ripped off technically, but I’m still smarting from buying the 2-hour mini-movie all by itself, and then having it come out with the first season a few weeks later. No one’s fault but my own, I suppose.
I lost track of last season what with the hurricanes knocking out my cable, so thanks for the heads up. So say we all.
This whole thing is a bit of a scam that Sci-Fi started a few years ago.
Sci-Fi renewed Farscape for seasons 4 and 5. They decided to back out, so they took a break half-way through season 4 of Farscape, calling the second half “Season 5”.
Season 2 of Battlestar is 20 episodes long, no matter what the network itself says.
