OK, I know he’s an attorney, but does he actually work? I get the idea that he was her main attorney for pursuing the Marshalll inheritance, but I would have assumed that he would have been paid out of what she would have received. Unless he was already independently wealthy, it seems hard to believe that he would have been part of this story for so long without being paid–and I don’t see how he would have ever had time for any other legal practice.
Anyone???
He stopped being anything but her attorney long ago. There’s no way he could’ve had other clients, when he was at her side constantly. During the reality show, he was always there, in almost every scene. He didn’t live with her at the time, but showed up early and left late. His job seemed to be more as a business manager/companion/ attorney/ errand boy/ gofer/ purse carrier. I’m sure he was getting some type of allowance or something. Plus, it was obvious he had feelings for her.
Yeah, the first time I saw him on TV, I assumed that he was more of a camp-follower than a real attorney.
He used to work for some big-name divorce firm in L.A… One of the private sector lawyers I routinely transact with has a classmate there and they both know HKS. I’m guessing when he landed her as a client he walked with his “portable business”-but I’m just hazarding a guess there. He did used to work for a legit firm, though, as far as I’ve heard. We were just talking about it on my last deal.
Me: Was he always that sleazy?
My friend: Yeah, well, nooo, well, yeah, pretty much.
