Is BLAT pronounced like flat but with a ‘b’? Or is it Bee El Ay Tee? Because I’ve always heard BLT pronounced Bee El Tee, but I’m rather new to this BLAT thing. However, if you go to Fatburger, get the egg. It sounds like a bad idea, but it made me love Fatburger that much more. Mmmmmm, Fatburger.
Actually, carefully doled out anchovies would be quite grand. But the avo is essential as well, so it should be a blaamt. (because the mayo deserves mention.)
Hijack:
At the restaruant I worked at one game we polayed is make up ingrediants for BLTs. Note that we would not actually make these.
The rule is evereything hat to be edible (no Bleach, Linoleam and Turpentine)
So we’d have things like barley, lemon, and tounge or baking soda, linguini, and toast.
Brian
Now you got me thinking that brains, lung, and tonuge would be a damn fine dish. Stuff the first and last into the middle and spice well.
(Brains are like fried eggs and tongue is tender. I’ve never had lung before.)
Or brie, lettuce, and turkey. Or, if you want a dressing, basil, lemon, and thyme.
BLAT isn’t that the beer made famous the Blatt’s Splat’s slogan? :o
Fatburger rawks. I used to put a fried egg (and an Ortega chili) on burgers occasionally when I was in high school. Quite tasty. But nowadays it’s just too much to eat. (I still like the occasional Ortega chili though.)
Hm… Bacon, Lettuce, Ortega, Avocado and Tomato. A BLOAT.
Blattodea? Blattidae? Some sort of blattid, I’m guessing?
Maybe blatta orientalis? Or blattella germanica?
Whatever it is, there isn’t enough mayo in the world.
So a BLEACHT is out of the question?
eggs, cheese and ham seemed like welcome additions
Um, more like romano or parmesan. Hard & kind of stinky.
Today’s ‘heart healthy’ special came with a salad. As the guy was putting everything into the box, I asked if the salad had dressing in it. (Usually their salads are mixed with stuff. Today it just looked like lettuce.) ‘Salad inside,’ said he. ‘Is there dressing on it?’ I asked. ‘Already salad inside.’ The other guy said I could top off my salad at the salad bar.
So I guess it wasn’t confusion about what goes into a BLAT. It seems to have been a language barrier.
