Comments? Speculation? Wild-ass guesses?
How about some complaints that “the return of Jordan’s brother” was just a bloody dream sequence? And what’s the deal with the brother anyway? I saw the promo for the ep where he appeared but never saw the ep and am not convinced it aired in my market.
I saw one with the Pretender guy as her brother… Was there more than one of those? He did something like take Jordan’s dad hostage, and they had a “showdown” of sorts in some old abandoned house. We weren’t actually paying attention. It was just on in the background. I think it was part two of a two-part episode about a serial killer who was burying people alive.
So this is what I remember and I’ll box it in case anyone needs to see it who hasn’t:[spoiler]Jordan’s dad had been a cop who had worked on a child abduction or homicide (I don’t remember). He and Jordan’s mom had a baby son, James, but Jordan’s mom became very, very ill and mentally unstable. She was really unable to care for the son. So on a dark and stormy night, Jordan’s father knocked on the door of the couple who had just lost thier child, and he handed them his own son. Never said a word, just walked away.
Jordan talked to the couple that raised him. They said he was always a bit of a wing nut, aggressive and pretty bonkers. He had and disappeared one day. They’d never heard from him again (didn’t seem that they really wanted to either).
I have no idea how James kidnapped Jordan’s father, or if the abandoned old house was the old family home or what. I unfortunately also don’t remember how the “showdown” resolved itself. James had Jordan’s father tied to a chair. Was threatening both with a gun. One of those “the truth is revealed – you ruined my life, now I’m psycho” kind of scenarios that you see in horror movies all the time. It ended with Jordan and her dad outside on the sidewalk cyring – I think James got away.[/spoiler]So that’s what I saw.
I think that Crossing Jordan is on at a time that conflicts with some other show we usually watch so we only see it when our other show is a repeat.
A quick peak at IMDB shows that Jarod – er, “James” – was due back on last night’s episode and again on May 5.
Thanks for the recap. FYI the two-part “Digger” ep was from S1 and Jarod was from S2 so the two were separate storylines.
