What's in *your* wallet - a nosy MMP

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work in a bit. It’s 38 right now.

pretteh kitteh, there, sari

sari - I wouldn’t worry at all that your new furball is hiding. One cat we adopted didn’t come out from under our bed for a week - at least not while we were up and about. Ziva was pretty much the same way, but then she was coming into a house with another cat and 2 dogs. I’m guessing your new little buddy is overwhelmed by the sounds and smells and he’s trying to figure things out in his little kitteh brain. Before too long, he’ll be in the way all the time and you’ll be wishing he’d hide a while!

We’re starting the day in the mid-30s! brrrrrrrrrrr Since the convenience center opens at 8, we’re going to load the trash and recycling into the truck then either dispose of it and go to breakfast, or have breakfast first, then toss our trash. Both cases require a detour, but not too much of one - both 5 and 234 lead to Leonardtown.

**FCD **is still abed, but it’s way too early to be rousting him. Higgs has been fed and both she and Taz have curled up on afghans for their morning naps. Ziva ventured out of the dining room to stretch out near the piano. She won’t come into this room, tho. She’s a weird cat.

Apart from taking the trash and recycling, I have no real plans for today. I need a loaf of bread, but that may happen when we’re in Leonardtown. And I want to get some plants so I’ll either go to the local nursery or to Lowe’s. We shall see how the day evolves.

Happy Sunday!!

Happy Sunday!

It’s a bright, sunny 48 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 74. The high projected for tomorrow is 80!

Thank y’all for the compliments on the new arrival. I have no idea where he is now, probably back upstairs. Maybe his new name should be Scaredy.
Near as I can tell, the dog still has no idea there is a cat in the house. Hard to tell with him though, being that the only thing he seems interested in is treats.

We have a big rabbit living in the back yard now. The first time I saw it, I wondered what it was, because it moved like a rabbit but is bigger than any wild rabbit I’ve ever seen before. I wonder if it is what chewed through the bottom of the fence? As long as it stays in the yard and doesn’t try to come in the house we’ll get along fine.

sari, Ash-to-be-renamed-later is a handsome fellow.

I had a nice ride across a curvy, hilly road yesterday. I’m riding to the morning coffee meet up in the town south ofhere this mmorning, then playing around in the studio.

Housework is on the agenda for today as we have a houseguest coming for a couple days.

I slept well but not enough. Napping shall happen later.

Cute kitty sari!

Seminars later today but just puttering some chores. With all the sun and gas in the bikes it isn’t easy but its stuff that gotta be done.

Taking a break from gardening. I just planted 2 azaleas and a bunch of ground cover, some caladiums (caladia?) and I transplanted a few hostas. The sprinkler is soaking down the beds right now and I’m rehydrating - playing in the dirt is thirsty work!

Next, I’ll fill a couple of planters with petunias - I love seeing them out my kitchen window! I may have enough to plant some out front, too. We shall see. Eventually. I need to rest my back and my knees.

Oh, and we took the trash and recycling first thing, so the garage is kinda cleared out again. Huzzah!!

Thanks Missred!

I actually some really good things going on right now but I have a general policy of not sharing certain things online anymore. The weekend chill has been nice so far and I’ve managed to do some straightening up and cleaning that needed to be done.

Really not much to complain about. Work has been real busy and we’re losing some great coworkers to a buyout, so there’s a ton of overtime available at work.

I think the change of season has been really helpful. This winter was a bit more tiring than usual.

Howdy Y’all! We have deheathenated, had N.O.L., and achieved nappage. OK, I achieved nappage. OYKW is still in the process of nappage achievement.

'Tis a very nice 75 Amurrkin out so I have da cave windows open. Now that the pine trees have finished their annual orgy windows can be open. YAY!

So goes Sunday afternoon.

And I’m done yard-working. My efforts.

I’m tired and achy and I’ll mulch the beds another day. I have decreed that supper will be leftovers because we have too many in the fridge.

I need a shower but I’m too tired to walk *alllllllllllllllll *the way to the bathroom.

::Yawn:: Okay, I’m away now.
Yestidy started before dark-thirty am & didn’t end till the early hours of this morning from a comedy show & hanging out afterwards. It was one of these traveling/club-for-a-night things in a historic tavern known for a good beer (both bottles & tap) selection, as well as extensive alcohol choices. When we went up to the third floor for the show, the menu was only domestic swill & alcohol / wine by a company called House - as in house red, house white, house vodka, etc. I wonder why they don’t bring anything decent upstairs???

After 3½-ish of sleep, today began at 4:40 Auntie Meridian (Uncle & the little Meridian’s were still abed) with a beaufootal morning of getting high & shadowing the intersections then scurrying back for Run Club. However, I ended up running out of gas (the body, not the car) on the way back so I came home & decided the couch would be a good place to lose consciousness for a while. Now, it’s one load of laundry & grocery shopping still to go.

Away from what?

away from unconsciousness.

Yeah, yeah, that what I, ahhh, meant to type. Nope, that shouldn’t have been awake. :smack:

I’ve showered and popped a couple of tylenol for the aches. It feels good to be clean, and I’m glad we’ve got leftovers because I don’t have the energy to cook.

We got a postcard in the mail from a neighbor who’s selling her house inviting us to an open house - a real estate open house, not a party. I’m assuming she’s hoping we know someone who’s looking to buy. I’ve got a house. I don’t need another. :stuck_out_tongue:

C’mon, tylenol - kick in! I’s achy!!!

Whatever happened to the Mumper retreat? :dubious:

Couldn’t find a buyer… But there are now 3 houses for sale in this neighborhood, in case you’re interested. One has a pool!!!

Have I mentioned to y’all that YP and family are leavin’? He’s goin’ to a church in the 'burbs (actually it may be within the city) of Bahstan. I am not happy with this. However, I am happy for them and this opportunity. It is a bigger church and both YP and Wife like urban areas and the northeast. Still the hunt for a new Priest is never fun.

Also, I managed to drag the biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road. It was an arduous task but I managed it to completion. Go Me!

I am noticing that the post counts are not changing. Not sure why I even noticed.
