What's in *your* wallet - a nosy MMP

My friend has made my other friend and me swear to donate her to a body farm. She knows her mom would not abide by her wishes.

I sympathize. Today’s activities included a trip to CVS Minute Clinic (more like Hour Clinic…) for the second time in a month. This one yielded a diagnosis of early-stage sinus infection (reminds me, must take antibiotic), plus prescription-strength cough suppressant. Hopefully I actually get a decent night’s sleep tonight.

I worked. I survived a cofrence call and a DM visit. But tonight is my Firday. Go me!

: holds up lighter :

I expect I’ll end up in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum.

REHAB IS FOR QUITTERS!:stuck_out_tongue:

I want to be freeze-dried and slipped into some darkride somewhere. Knoebels Haunted House if at all possible.

Piece of paper on which I wrote “Never forget you’re a piece of shit addict.”

My former NA sponsor asked me to put it there. I’ve had it since 2008.

Your former NA sponsor doesn’t seem like a very nice person.
Today we’re going on a day trip at work. There’s a couple of VIP visits and we’re going down aaaaaaaaall the way to the conference center to meet them (about 500m, which I’m reasonably sure we can all do without breaking down). Hopefully the weather will hold: it’s on the cold side but not raining.

I considered this also - I think it’s a fascinating study. I also thought about those plasticized, sliced bodies that go on traveling exhibits in museums, but I expect they’ve got plenty. Just as long as I’m not taking up real estate, I’m good.

Good morning! I had a terrible time falling asleep last night and I woke at least twice. Methinks it’s gonna be a long day. I’m breakfasting now (PB&J on toast - homemade strawberry J) and I’ll leave for the office in about 25 minutes. Wonder if Dave left me anything to do…?

This is payday week, so that’s good. Wonder if my 401k allotment will come out? Which reminds me - I need to move the 401k from my last job. And I want to make an appointment with our financial guy. And I need to make an appointment for the cats to get shot. Always something…

Happy Tuesday!!

Happy Toosday!

Up too early again, I wish I could get on a decent sleep schedule.

Today is supposed to be cloudy with a high of 59. Then the rest of the week is sunny and the temps get back up to normal spring temps.

Nothing special to do today, always plenty to do but none of it fun.

Cash, photo ID, Medicare card, couple of debit cards.

I like to keep my wallet as simple as possible.

My sister returns home to Nevada today. Norfolk to Dallas; Dallas to Salt Lake City, where a friend will pick her up and take her back to Carlin, Nevada. It’s been great having her here-- prior to this week, I hadn’t seen her in person in about six years.

It’s after 8. Office mate just showed up so I expect the boss won’t be too far behind. Hope so. Apart from fixing 3 drawings, I’ve had nothing to do for over an hour.

It’s insanity!!!

Western Pacific Museum is the one I had in mind. The Sumpter Valley Railroad in Oregon also does this.

Tuesday morning blurf.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s my day off, and it’s raining. The dog is snoring.

blurf

Mooomm My husband always says the same thing. I have mixed feelings about it. I guess I always thought we’d have a place to visit when he’s gone. I shall have to think on it some more. Hopefully I’ll have a while to figure things out!

Kid 2 off to school. Kid 1 on Spring Break.

Gotti and Bobbio thank you for the train info. My dad is a train nut.

BLURF!! for now. More after caffeine.

Been up and productive for a while. Will leave for work in a few hours and totally stop doing that.

Cremate me and leave the ©remains at the crematorium. Nobody would ever visit my grave/columbarium/wall, etc. Going out to dinner tonight, then to a women’s film festival. Six short films made by women on various subjects.

I’ve spent most of my pseudo-productive morning fixing old drawings and even learning a few new things.

Boss freaked me out this morning - yesterday, he had a full beard. Today he’s completely clean-shaven and looking about 10 years younger - guess the gray in the beard really made a difference. I’m glad I saw him in his office first because I don’t know that I’d have recognized him in the wild.

It’s been raining all morning. I’m having leftover soup for lunch. That pretty much sums up today’s excitement. C’mon Firday!!!

My wallet consists of the usual ID, credit and debit cards and a couple pictures. The one thing I would consider odd is a tiny little book I found on a gas pump one day about 2 years or longer ago. It has a smiley face on the front and says “Smile, Jesus loves you”. I was feeling especially low that day so I kept it ever since. I took it as a sign.

In work news we are getting two new A/C units and the installer (be still my heart) is going to keep one running while he changes out the other so we won’t be too hot.

I finished paying my vendors so now it is Budget Time. Oh joy! Can I just have a month without a huge project? I need some down time.

I just found a request in my email to add a physician in Houston to my LinkedIn network. Um, sure, fellah… I live thousands of miles away, I have no medical connections or desire to have any, and maybe I’m suspicious, but seriously, dude??

Frankly, I don’t know why I even made a profile there, but I’m too indifferent to take it down.
