What's on your Tivo?

More specifically, what’s the oldest show on your Tivo (or any other DVR) that you haven’t watched? How old is it? And why haven’t you watched it yet?

For myself.

Show: Dagon
When: January 3
Why?: Just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I recorded it because it was based on the same story as a video game I had just finished, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. My Tivo had filled to 97% capacity (100 hours) and I’ve just now gotten it thinned to 45%. First time it’s been below 50 in months.

I’m getting there though.

Probably High Road To China. I’ve watched it, but haven’t yet transferred it to DVD. A beautiful movie for those who like WWI airplanes.

I keep the Tivo cleared out. I only have a few season passes, so it’s easy.

The oldest is the June 25 episode of Kidnapped. It’s being saved until they’re all recorded, and I’ll try to watch them in a day, seven episodes.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

Planet Earth, which is my dad’s. I haven’t deleted it on account of it’s not mine and he hasn’t deleted it on account of… he doesn’t want to? I don’t know.

second oldest is the Lost season finale. Everybody’s watched it, but everyone whines any time I suggest deleting it. I don’t think anyone’s watched it since like the day after it aired

My oldest thing on there is about eleven months old and is an episode of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. Not coincidentally, I also have about eleven months’ worth of episodes of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. They’re short, they make me laugh, and I somehow still believe that I could work my way through 40-plus episodes.

Every now and then I go in there to clear them out, and get it down to about 25 episodes…

What’s on my Tivo? The VCR and the PS2.

But seriously, there’s a quilting show or two that’s at least 3 years old, if not older, on one of the Tivos. My wife recorded them, and my job was to transfer them to DVD. I did most of them, but there’s only one or two left, and I just never did it. We moved the Tivos from GA to MN, and the episodes came with us.

The last two episodes of “Torchwood” from December/January. I just haven’t got round to watching them yet. Most of the other stuff gets cleared out regularly although we’re building up the next season of “Rome” because I’ve yet to watch the first season.

The Sex Pistols doc, The Filth and the Fury. Got part way through, fell asleep, and never got back to it - though I still intend to. I think I recorded it in late 2005.

I have stuff from 2006 on my Tivo, maybe 2005. I set it to keep 1 or 2 episodes of shows like Andy Griffith and The Brady Bunch, in case the mood strikes. I’ve found that, much like owning the DVD sets, the mood doesn’t strike when I actually have stuff at my fingertips.

I notice the Tivo only lists the month and day, not the year! So once a year everything becomes new again.

Ours is DVR, but the oldest is Bianca Ryan’s And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going, from America’s Got Talent June 28, 2006.

Mine are from October 27, 2006. I work at a costume shop, and one of the local morning shows comes every year. It was my baby boy’s on-screen debut!
ETA: :smack: I’ve watched them many many times! The oldest things we haven’t watched were the last 3 episodes of CSI:NY. Just never got around to watching them. But we keep meaning to.

I have some old news broadcast, probably about a year old, where I was man-on-the-street interviewed about OUTRAGEOUS gas prices.

I have the David Lynch movie Lost Highway from February of this year. I’ve been waiting to watch it late at night, but it’s so long that by the time I’m ready to watch a late-night movie, I decide I’m too tired to stay up for 2 1/2 hours and opt for something shorter.
