I Wish I was the Moon Tonight, by Nico Case

The previous one was Electric Worry, by Clutch

It’s spelled correctly in your link, so why did you spell her name Nico Case? It’s Neko Case.

Another contribution - Blood and Guts by Middle Brother

God forbid I should make a mistake.

If you had misspelled her name with no link, or you copied the misspelling from your link, I doubt I would have pointed it out. It just annoyed me and seemed sloppy that you couldn’t be bothered to get the correct spelling from your own goddamned link. I agree that Neko Case is great though.

Nice song.

Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan by Phish.

Granted, the first time I heard it was on NYE at their blowout concert, but it’s a simple, tight, uptempo song with a great refrain “Got a blank space where my mind should be.”

Downward Facing Dog by moe. I like Phish, but moe really does it for me. A jam band, but with more of a rock sensibility.

Perfume - Laser Beam

It reminds me of songs I’ve heard in anime and also videogame soundtracks on the Megadrive and SNES.

Mark Knopfler’s So Far From The Clyde. It broke my heart.

Great comment on that video:

Just a few from over the years that grabbed me from the first chords and have remained favorites:

Dead Can Dance - “The Carnival is Over”
Mark Isham - “Flames” (Crash soundtrack)
Quicksilver Messenger Service - “Gypsy Lights”
Laurie Anderson - “Oh Superman”

“Jan Pehchan Ho”, the song used in the Heineken commercial “the Date” with the white guy and the chinese girl running through a club.

(The video links to the original (?) use of the song in a Bollywood movie, not the Heineken commercial.)

The Exploding Hearts - Throwaway Style

song rules

Been ODing on “Cuts You Up” by Peter Murphy (as a means of therapy-worked wonders). I vaguely remember it from 120 Minutes back in the day (23 years ago?), on a lark clicked on it when looking for “All Night Long” on Youtube, must have played it 20 times already today…

The Generationals- When They Fight, They Fight. I like the video even more than the song.

I fell instantly in love with “Andrew in Drag” by The Magnetic Fields. A friend of mine sent me a link to Neil Gaiman’s blog, where he was raving about it. Great great song. I’ve always loved the Magnetic Fields.

I have a new ones too:
Royal Bliss “Save Me
also Ani T “Fly With You” but there’s no video :frowning:

Hanni El Khatib - You Rascal You

Heard this during the closing credits of a recent episode of Californication. Immediately had to google it. Really enjoying the LP it was taken from now. Great artist.

Rolling in the Deep-Adelle

Deadmau5 and Kaskade:

I Remember

Also, speaking of “Rolling in the Deep”: this version.

I’m Not The One by New Found Glory. When I heard it I swore that I had heard it before, and not in a bad way, in a “yeah this is totally a classic song that I’ve known and loved for years!”
