I’m right around knee length myself. The ends are not blunt cut but naturally tapered into a v shape, so it’s all sorta between thigh and knee.
I think I am going for floor length. That is, on the days I am not thinking “Man, I really need a trim.”.

Back in the '90s I wore my hair long. Usually it was about shoulder length or a bit longer, but for a few years I had it down to almost my waist. A friend of mine during the same period wore hers down to her knees or longer. I always thought that was kinda sexy.
Had it all graded about seven years ago, before I was hairy about the facial locales. Never cut a hair since, so now I also look like comic book guy, or as I prefer to think, like Bill Bailey. But with longer hair.
I did not have my hair cut other than a trim on the ends and bangs from birth until 16, it had spent several years just above the knees. I got it trimmed to 1 inch punk at 16 [i was working in a machine shop, it was a safety issue. I decided I just wanted my hair that short because I could, the hair dresser cried when I grabbed teh scissors and hacked the braid off at the back of my neck, she didn’t want to cut hair that long off. ]
Now I have issues, my hair thickness has reduced by half, my hair is brastrap length and where before 1990 it was the thickness of my wrist at the back of my neck, it is now a braid of about three quarters of an inch [but the navy claims that despite the scaley skin, delaminating finger and toe nails, and massive loss of hair, and 150 lb in 3 year weight gain, I don’t have thyroid issues…]
I have had my hair quite long a number of times. I prefer long hair although I am the first to admit it doesn’t really look good on me. I don’t care though. I short and fat. My straight thick red hair is really my one decent feature so I’ll wear it long even if it makes me look stupid.
Anyway, I generally get it to between mid-back and butt length. I’ll keep it there for a few months, cut it all off, donate it and then grow it back again. I’m in the middle of the growing back phase and I can’t wait until it’s long again.
My longest has been mid-back (I’m female). When my hair gets longer than that I start feeling like I’m getting into religious-cult-member or unkempt hippie looking territory. Mostly because when it is that long, I have to keep it up in a bun or braids all the time and that feels old fashioned to me. I usually keep it just slightly longer than shoulder length, which to me is long enough to wear up for exercise, but is manageable when I want to wear it down.
