What's the manliest weapon?

I think this might be it, for home defence only of course. And fired from the hip.

Barrett .50 pfft.

Pfft, I have an ED 209 guarding my door.

Look. Hold a knife like this, [holds a chef’s knife normally] cuts through an onion. [switches to a backhand grip] Hold a knife like this…cuts through, like, eight yakuza in four seconds. Screams, carnage. People are like knives. Everything’s in context.

…Elliot Spencer

Jesus Christ.
I want one.

20mm pushes the definition of “rifle”; it’s really more of a man-portable light artillery piece.

Nonetheless, it is damn manly.
Conan, of course, would have the same results with a mace and chain.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already but the manliest weapon is when you rip someone’s arm or leg off and use it as a club.

Nutcracker.

Since limbs are jointed, would’t that technically be a flail? :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably, but you could, say, rip someone’s leg off from the knee down, and then rip their foot off of that, and then you have what amounts to a shin club.

And after you’ve beaten your opponent to death, you stick his foot in his mouth.

You say that like that somehow makes it less manly. Loud, heavy and ridiculously excessive sounds like the very definition of a manly weapon to me…

A towed howitzer.

I’ll take a pole arm of some sort, since they had largely supplanted swords by the time muskets came about. Probably a halberd.

If we ARE going with firearms, I’ll take an M-4.

Broken liquor bottles attached to your hands with electrical tape.

How about a quad-barrelshotgun (looks about 10 gauge). *youtube link

I’d rather have a KS-23 shotgun. At 23mm bore diameter (approx. 4-6 gauge), the barrels were originally recycled anti-aircraft gun barrels (empty shells shown here. It was designed as a Soviet prison-riot suppressor.

Sweet jumpin’ Jobu, those Russians must know how to have a riot!

Intellect, good judgment, and the courage to face difficult situations head-on and in an honest manner. In today’s world, more than ever, those are the tools you need to meet the challenges you actually face.

You’re rarely if ever going to be in a situation where a gun, knife, blunt instrument, or any other physical weapon will help you solve your problem without creating an even worse one for yourself. But difficult situations requiring you to make the most of your inner resources? Yeah, those will keep finding you.

We aren’t discussing good judgement, we’re discussing manliness, testosterone posioning.

I agree that the most dangerous weapon is the mind. When faced with a dangerous opponent, always kick them in the mind as hard as you can.
