What's the most interesting car you saw today?

AMC also made a muscle car called an SC/Rambler (get it?). Similar red, white and blue paint jobs but different cars. I don’t think you can link directly to an individual image on Google anymore but here’s a link to the Google image Search and on that page near the top there’s a picture of an SC/Rambler and a Machine side by side.

I saw a Plymouth Prowler this weekend. I don’t see many of those. I always kind of liked them and kind of hated them. I applauded Chrysler for trying something really novel, even if it didn’t really come together as a classic.

The first car I owned was a 67 Rambler American 4 door. I’ve always wanted either a SC/Rambler or a convertible American. My next house is going to have a three car garage and one of those cars in it.

A white Porsche Boxster Spyder, top down.

The other day I saw a Camyan S; on the back window was the decaling that it was a courtesy loaner. You think I can take my car into them for an oil change?

A beautifully restored 1950s Jeep pickup.

A beautiful red 1st generation (1967-70) Mercury Cougar convertible in the parking lot at work. I love it when the fun cars come out in the New England spring.

I saw a red ZTR Trike Roadster on the way home today. Sadly, there was a car between us so all I got to see much of was its rear end.

Today I followed a 1970 Dodge R/T. It was that bright green color. It seemed to be an ongoing restoration, some of the trim and badging were missing, so not sure what was under the hood.

On Monday I saw a white VW Vanagon Syncro, outfitted for expeditions. It may have come from the SyncroFest at nearby Hollister Hills.

I saw one that’s making me say “no way!” For the last three years, a house around the corner has had the frame of an early 1960s Corvette convertible sitting under a tarp in the drive. No engine, no suspension, no glass, no interior - bare metal chassis, exposed to the elements for who knows how long. It disappeared about 4 months ago. I just saw a metallic blue 60s Corvette convertible with white top pulling in the same driveway. It’s got to be a different car. Which still makes no sense for this area, as it’s worth double or triple what the house its parked by cost.

The past week or so, I’ve been seeing an orange Lotus Elise in one of the reserved parking spots at my employer.

I’ve also been seeing a blue Subaru BRZ at work. I hadn’t heard of them before. I guess the BRZ is very similar to the Toyota FRS/86. Anyway, a cool looking car. I like the look of it much better than the Elise.

I was behind a Subaru BRZ a couple days ago. It had a HUGE spoiler on the back. The supports had to be a good 10 inches tall.

The one I see at work has, I guess, the stock spoiler. I generally dislike spoilers, other than subtle little scoops coming off the rear end, but this one wasn’t bad.

One of the sight gags in one of the Back to the Future movies is a VW Beetle still being driven in the future year of 2015. At the time the movie came out I wondered if there would still be classic bugs running at that late date, so I was gratified to see one in the parking lot today, which drove off making the staccato rattle of its air cooled engine.

A totally cool Morgan kit car. Red three wheeler, convertible, with side pipes.

Today I was returning home after a trip to the grocery and spotted an immaculate red 69 SS Camaro at the gas pumps of a convenience store. I stopped at a red light and as I was checking out the Camaro I noticed, in the same lot, a Cobra replica (be very surprised if it was a real one). Then after I stopped at the pharmacy I saw a 68 or 69 big block Corvette and within minutes some kind of high dollar exotic sports car coming towards me on the highway. May have been a car show somewhere around here.

A Peugeot wagon (505?) - looked to be mid-80’s, peeling paint and all.

An early Jaguar E-type. One not made for the North American market. It was a thing of beauty. And me without my camera.

Walking around the historic district of Chehalis WA yesterday evening I saw three nice red Packards in a bank parking lot.

Wow, those are cool.

I saw not one, but two (different) blue Ferrari 588’s with huge yellow brake shoes on consecutive days. The second was in the dealer showroom while the first was a guy driving his to his house (turned onto a deadend residential street) about 3 miles from said showroom.
