A black Cadillac Eldorado convertible with the top down leaving a parking lot. Almost perfect weather for it.
Maybe around 1974, 7th gen.

Not as much as you might think. It’s around an 11 hour drive in a gas car if you don’t stop; in a Model 3, around 13 hours (there are Superchargers all along the way). Most people are going to stop for lunch or bathroom breaks anyway, so the true difference is probably under an hour.
VW Microbus, a cargo transporter type, like a panel van
Just now, a British Racing Green MGB drove by the house.

This afternoon, I visited a friend who is temporarily in a nursing home. As I pulled out of the parking lot, I saw the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile parked in front of the hotel next door.
A very rare sighting, indeed! Years ago, Road & Track magazine had an article about that unique vehicle. Apparently there’s one on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn MI.
A MB GLC 350e plug-in hybrid
A Volkswagen Jetta converted to a pickup.
It comes to my area with some regularity, probably because there’s an Oscar Mayer plant here in town.
There’s a Wiki page for der Wienermobile — Wienermobile - Wikipedia.
Yesterday and today at RRVI (RR6, Rennsport Reunion 6), my first time at an RR, I was surrounded by Porsches of all kinds. At one point today I was in a paddock surrounded by about 10 959s. In another area about 24 914s were parked. 356 #1, Ferry Porsche’s very first, built in Gmünd, Kärnten, Austria was there. Mark Donohue’s 917-30. The 919 Evo that obliterated the Nordschleife record.
Porsches and Porsches, and more Porsches. I stood next to Adam Carolla as he talked to this guy who owned a very old 1951 356.
Yesterday at the 356 reunion we were among over 200 356s gathered, and the event was well coordinated.
It was great. Laguna Seca is less than 2 hours from me. I anticipate going to more future RRs.
And then driving back home, I saw a Polaris Slingshot

8X8, 450 hp turboed and blown 2 cycle Detroit Diesel. Will carry 50,000 and will pull 100,000 lbs.
My Uncle Sam paid $360,000 apiece for them.
Interesting. I never knew what those are called. Or perhaps I once knew, and have since forgotten it.
But, what is a 2-cycle diesel engine? I had to look that up. Two-stroke diesel engine - Wikipedia
The most interesting car I saw was in my driveway on Friday night. A spanking new 2018 Ford Focus ST in Hot Pepper Red with a Cobb Stage 1 Exhaust and Intake sitting on a set of Enkei PDC wheels and Pirelli PZero tires. My Dear Subaru is now on the used car lot. I guess the Model 3 will have to wait a bit longer…
Original Tesla, the one built on the Lotus Elise body.
Hyundai Kona - had to look it up when I got home. Brand new this year.
Jaguar E Type, hauling ass on Highway 101 southbound, south of San Francisco this afternoon.
A Porsche 914. I think it’s been more than a decade since I’ve seen one of those on the road.
My boss in the mid-'80s to early-'90s had one. I think he was the original owner. I’ve always liked the 914. Sometimes the commercial from the early-'70s pops into my head. ‘Suuuuuuuuun Porsche! Saaaaaaaaaand Porsche!’
