Two cars of interest today: A Plum Purple 90s JDM GT-R, and the new Fiat Spyder (Miata!) with some sort of promo sticker on the rear quarter panel. It was a really nice looking metallic maroon colour.
Two cars yesterday; a Nissan Kicks, apparently the replacement for the Juke but I’ve never even heard the name before, and an Aston Martin Vantage, which is always a sexy looking car.
I came to report seeing a Kicks today too. I liked the look of the Juke better; this one seems blander somehow.
Today, an Austin Healey 3000 in bright red, like the linked photo.
A couple days ago, the first Lamborghini Urus-SUV I’vwe saeen. Not an especially attractive vehicle, IMHO.
Goddam typos and edit timeout limit. Let’s try again:
My friend is selling her beautiful MGB that she’s had since new in 1975. I got to stage it for the photo.
Oh, wow! A one-owner MGB! Too cool.
One of those “mine’s bigger than yours” silly pickups based on a Chevy Topkick medium truck.
A Citroën Berlingo. I think they stopped making them last year. Without a doubt one of the cars on my “to buy” list. It has a certain industrial, no-frills quality to it that appeals to me.
I was friendly with a guy in high school whose dad had one in that classy english racing green. He let me drive it. Thanks for the memories.
The other day I saw a I-guess-I-shouldn’t-call-it-Ferrari-red Countach
& a four-door pickup Land Rover; old enough that it had antique plates on it (25 yrs, min). Don’t think I’ve ever seen that configuration on one of those before. It was tricked out for off roading - high air intake, winch, off road lights. Nice!
The other day, I almost bought this. My MB mechanic had the good sense to talk me out of it.
Funny about this recent run of MGs. Saw a green one yesterday. Had 3 ( three! ) windshield wipers. Never saw that on a car before.
Even in my hometown, the car show capital of the world, true exotic cars are fairly rare. So imagine my surprise when I saw a Lamborghini Countach parked in a lumber yard parking lot, where it has remained for the last month. In typical exotic car fashion it has multiple problems, the most obvious of which is a pop-up headlight that remains popped up, and a flat tire that probably costs a fortune to replace. I suspect that it broke down and the owner either can’t afford to fix it or isn’t worried about it because he has more money than God and will get to it eventually. I’ll bet the paint job was expensive, it has a color-shifting pearlescent finish that ranges from purple to gold depending on the angle you view it at.
One more thing: I never realized how small those things are. I doubt I could even get into one. Very wide, but extremely low and cramped in all other proportions.
Chevy Corvette C3 Stingray - probably from 71-72
A 1941 Ford Fordor sedan, a model year one doesn’t see very often.
A Karman Ghia convertible in lime green, looked fully restored.
Man, I love those! I was considering one for my toy, but they’re getting too expensive. They’re not exactly speed demons, but they’re gorgeous cars.
The most interesting car I see every day is my own.
Yesterday I saw some kind of Lambo Spyder when I was on a drive.
I went HERE over the weekend. lots of cool stuff.
