What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I do have hope for them. The old ones were fun to drive.

First Ferrari Roma I’ve seen. I wouldn’t kick it out of my garage.

Who Designed the Ferrari Roma? | Continental AutoSports

An 8th generation (1996-99) Buick Riviera. I was surprised how good it looked. Not my cup of tea but I thought the design aged well.

Yeah, always liked those. The best looking “Riv” since the late 60s, to my eyes.

Today I drove a short while behind a black 1971 Honda n600.

Not that I recognized it from sight. I learned the model from its bumper sticker.

I’m suffering car lust just from the photo. I can’t wait to see it in person.

THAT is gorgeous! Reminds me of the Daytona quite a bit in profile and no angry pointy bits like all the super and hyper cars seem to be designed with lately.

A Ford Pinto hot rod.

Also, and old probably 1990s era Jaguar XJS, and a new Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

I saw a car I couldn’t identify today. It was in a garage and the front end didn’t have any markings. I think it was a 60s Ford sedan, with vertically mounted headlights and two stripes on the hood. I’m looking on Google Images but haven’t found a match yet. Maybe a mid-60s Galaxie?

The 1965-98 Plymouth Fury (and probably some other Chrysler products) had that headlight arrangement as well, if you haven’t considered them yet.

Here’s the unidentified car with stacked headlights.

Today on my run I spotted a 3rd generation Olds Cutlass, this looks like a 1970. The badge on the back says it was bought originally at an Olds dealership just 2 miles away, that obviously doesn’t exist anymore. But it may mean that it’s still on its original owner, a local.

The unidentified car looks like a Ford Fairlane to me, circa maybe '67.

The Fairlane had headlights like that only in 66 and 67. It’s really close, but I haven’t yet found a grill that matches 100%.

Maybe a Galaxie. Almost identical front end to the Fairlane. Hmm, wish I new more about this era beyond pony cars.

That’s it! A 1967 Galaxie 500. Dead on match.

Yesterday I saw a c. '80-'83 BMW 320i… with Historical plates.

Dude. Way to make me feel old.

Technically, as of this year a car from 1996 is eligible for Historical plates. At least in California, but I assume most states have similar rules. I can’t wrap my head around the idea that the slightly used 1995 Saturn I got my sophomore year of college could officially be considered Historical.

I really need to get historical plates for my MGB.

A Maserati GT Convertible (with the top up) - interesting choice for January in Boston.

During my morning walks in my neighborhood, I regularly see a mid-'90’s Mercury Lynx with Indiana Historic Vehicle plates parked on the street.
