What's the most interesting car you saw today?

This, because I have no idea what it is…

I believe that’s a Hyundai Sonata N-line, the high performance version of the Sonata.

Excellent choice for a powder day at Whiteface ski resort.

Mid engined and rear wheel drive. It’ll negotiate the snow surprisingly well.

Ground clearance and wide tires would tend to counter those benefits.

Yup. I’m sure they are not snow or the so called ‘All Season’ tires either. No way. Probably can’t even buy them for that.

But hey, if your gonna show off, may as well do it year round.

Isn’t that a Challenger?

Oops, you’re right.

Ford GT, 2nd generation. Successor to the famous GT40 of “Ford Versus Ferrari” (2019) fame that won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race from 1966 through 1969, the Ford GT was first released in 2005. The 2nd generation was released in 2017.

MSRP? If you have a cool $1.6M burning a hole in your pocket, you might be able to start negotiating. Might .

I’m sure that GT has great specs, but it is terribly ugly.

Love the license plate: TEQUILA!!

That Ford GT styling is a bit bland though: it needs a few more creases/scallops and slots.

Always been a fan of the original GT40 styling though…

Fabulous ride! But no way was the owner going to let me drive. Still, I had a silly smile on my face for a week.

Blue Rivian R1T

I saw a '70s BMW 3.0 CSi driving near Santa Cruz this last weekend. Apparently good ones get >$100k at resale. This one looked like a very good one.

I saw an all-black BMW i8 Coupe. Starting MSRP for those things is $147,500, according to a quick web search.

Rectangular headlights on the Jeep Wrangler: when you see them you know you’re looking at the very first generation of the Wrangler, the YJ. The Wrangler YJ replaced the CJ, or ‘Civilian Jeep’ which, in turn, replaced the Willys Jeep of WWII.

The YJ was sold from 1986 to 1995.
The CJ was sold from 1944 to 1986.

In the 1980s many manufacturers went to rectangular headlights, and Jeep was one. Jeep eventually realized that they looked ‘wrong, just wrong’ on a Jeep and so they were replaced for the Wrangler TJ 2nd generation in 1997, when Jeep returned to the classic round headlights they were known for. They remain today, over 25 years later, on the Wrangler JL 4th generation.

Here is a brief listing by generation of Wranglers:

1986-1995: YJ
1996-2006: TJ
2007-2018: JK
2018-today: JL
