What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I saw one a few days ago. At night they have a very interesting headlight pattern.

Too bad they only sold 6001 of them last year. I hope Lucid survives.

A white Maserati GT.

Anyone know what this is? I’m guessing the year is approx 1963.

'59 F100? With a new radiator.

I was watching the Mecum auto auction in Florida and they were showing a 1959 Cadillac ElDorado/Chevy Nomad wagon that has to be the coolest car I’ve ever seen. They said the owner commissioned it, then died before it came to fruition. The engine was $100k on it’s own. I don’t think it sold, but I didn’t follow up.

I’m not sure if this link works:

With only 6 miles on the odometer?

Also, to this day, I associate Nomads with Home Improvement.

Maybe 1958?

It’s a 3rd-gen Ford F-100 Panel truck. Someone on imgur said it’s a 1958. So maybe either 1958 or 1959.

The 3rd generation trucks were produced from 1957 until 1960. Per wiki, 3rd generation trucks were built in Argentina from 1959 to 1961 as the F-100 and F-600.

It’s just what a google image search came back with, it could very well be wrong.

The paint alone was $300,000,

how is that possible?

Big car with custom paint. The builder of this said the paint cost $200,000 Australian dollars:

Someone posted about the Shelby American Museum in Boulder, CO, a couple weeks ago, so my brother and I took a trip up last Saturday.

No number. I wonder if it’s this one, apparently last registered in California:

I can’t remember if it was Shelby American Collection or a different museum that had a panel van with a Ferrari engine, painted Ferrari red, that was used as a parts hauler.

It was either a jab at Ferrari “we got a Ferrari engine, but just stuck it in an old van,” if it was a brag by Ferrari “the parts van was too slow, so we put a new engine in it,” or if it’s some malformed memory that I’m inventing or conflating.

I didn’t take a picture of it, because who wants a picture of an old red van, but now it’s the only specific vehicle I remember from several car museums (even if it doesn’t exist).

I didn’t see any Ferrari-looking vans. That’s not saying there weren’t any.

I feel like the Petersen is definitely a must-see when I’m back in the LA area this year.

Here’s a view inside from 2001:

A 2024 OBW: Outback Wilderness, Subaru. This one has larger 29.5” tires to replace the stock 28.5” Yokohama Geolandars. The BFG KO2 tires are a very strong tire out on the trail.

I really enjoy the pics I see here. Thanks to all.

I’ll have to pay more attention to the models, but I swear I’ve seen those Subarus all over the place lately. Almost always in that exact forest/matte green.

No pics, but in the past week or so I’ve seen nearly all representatives of the Saturn lineup; SL, SW, SC, L-series, Vue, Ion, Relay, Aura, and Outlook. I’ve missed the Sky and the Astra, and the EV1 (for obvious reasons).

No pics, but I’ve seen two Olds Aleros in the last week.

Per wiki, the Oldsmobile Alero was manufactured from 1998 to 2004. It was Oldsmobile‘s last new model, and one was also the very last Oldsmobile ever built.

Update: hey, this is the 6,000th post in this thread!
