Hey, I don’t think I shared any pictures from last weekend’s gathering of Porsche 356s…
Exactly. I was told that the dog on the right front fender was her dog. Janis’s was a cabriolet while this one is a coupe.
5 years ago I ‘collected’ web pics of Janis Joplin’s 1965 Porsche 356C cabriolet. I’ve had them in an album on my phone. One day I’ll bring my wife up to the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and capture her in similar poses.
In 2015 her 356 sold at auction for $1.76M to set the record for Porsche 356s.
I just put my Janis Joplin web pics out on imgur ➜
I thought Janis wanted a Mercedes Benz, it was her friends who all drove Porsches. I guess she just went along with the crowd.
She wanted one, but couldn’t afford it.
Followed a replica Porsche 718 spyder today. The driver was trying to enjoy the country lanes but was stuck behind a little old lady that wouldn’t go above 30 mph!
VW beetle underneath a fibreglass body, but it sounded awesome.
It was the blue one from this company, same registration number.
3rd generation Chrysler LeBaron, probably after the 1993 facelift. So a 30 year old car, still looking good.
A Ford Mustang Mach-E.
About 4 years ago they were all over the place and I’d typically see several each day, every day. But today they aren’t very common, and sometimes I’ll go weeks before seeing one. Like today — the first one I’ve seen in weeks.
On Thursday, I saw, if only briefly, what appeared to be a light yellow or cream-colored Chevy El Camino (or perhaps Ford Ranchero) driving into or past the Barrandov film studios near where I live in Prague.
The El Camino is my favorite car, and this is only my third sighting of one in the Czech Republic since I first came here over 20 years ago.
This tiny Suzuki shoe-like car:
Sorry to see that. Maples trees seem to shed branches more frequently than other large trees. We had to trim ours aggressively to prevent untimely drops.
That’s the Suzuki X-90, only made from 1995-97.
While traveling on I-65 in the Indianapolis area this morning, I saw an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile sitting in a parking lot.
