What's the most interesting car you saw today?

and with a YEHBABY license plate … nonetheless

;o)

Nah, third bag; one on the pax seat, & second on the pax footwell (presuming you went by yourself); third one goes in the trailer

Spotted on the drive home from the mountains, an AMC Hornet Sportabout wagon, which was made from 1971-77. I haven’t seen one of these in well over a decade.

First generation Toyota MR2 today. My mom almost bought one of these in the late 80s, but ended up with the much more practical second generation RX7.

I saw this Dodge Charger with an interesting wrap job. It looked like a camouflage scheme in red and black splotches.

A bit bizarre.

I did a google image search and it appears to be a thing.

Couldn’t they find a camo pattern doesn’t repeat every panel? It’s just bad.

Maybe it’s like one of those Magic Eye posters. See if a 3D picture pops out of it if you stare at it long enough.

My husband owned one of those when we were first married.

It was… not all that good of a car. We got rid of it within a year or so (this would have been 1983/1984). I think it was a 1977 model, so the last year they were made from your post.

Current weather 79°, dew point of 58° (so low humidity), blue skies, except for some puffy white clouds, IOW, a perfect summer day.
So why did the Saab 9-3 convertible not only have the roof up but the windows up, too? Sell that car to someone who will enjoy it!

Agreed! For our convertible classic, the top is ALWAYS down, and it’s only up if it is raining or if it is very cold. If it’s chilly, you just bundle up.

That’s wild. But, not for me!

The most interesting car today is… mine. Or more accurately, my wife’s. The left rear CV boot tore open so we brought it to the shop for fixing. I followed her there.

And there, they were working on a 1980 911 Targa.

If that’s not a personalized plate, I hope you like Rush.

Yup, top is up for rain, super hot (ie 95°) long days in the sun, & rarely, a chilly night back home after a warm day in the sun

Living in the tundra, and considering a Miata, one year I actually counted the number of days that I would’ve put the top down.

That year, it wasn’t warm enough all fall, winter and spring. Then it rocketed right to the mid 90º’s with 90% humidity, and I was so grateful for A/C.

The total that year was eleven days. Very sad. This year’s so much better, and I’ve been doing errands and long rides on my bike (where the top’s always down).

I miss riding! I sold my bike a couple of years ago, and I plan (hope) to buy one next year. When I’m on my bike, I feel like I’m a cowboy riding hood horse out on the open range.

Not personalized. I’m surprised that no-one has ever mentioned Rush and YYZ.

Saw a Toyota Century parked on the street as I was driving through my very much not in Japan neighborhood this morning. Unfortunately it was gone by the time I walked the dog down that street this evening.
