What's the most interesting car you saw today?

A few weeks ago I mentioned seeing a Toyota Century V12 street parked in my neighborhood occasionally when I would be driving, but I never saw it when I was walking and could grab a picture.

This afternoon I took one of my kid’s friends home, and there it was, parked in their apartment complex lot. The friend didn’t know who it belongs to, other than “probably the guy in 7.”

I believe that if someone parks like that, they forfeit any rights to the car and you’re free to take it home.

I spotted a Fisker Ocean in traffic, first one I’ve seen that wasn’t parked.

But IMO more interesting was a Honda Prologue. It’s a fairly mundane SUV EV, not bad looking but nothing special. What really stayed with me was the font they used for the HONDA. I’ve never really seen something like that before. To my eye it looks kiddie.

Back when I was a teen and drove a smaller car, when I’d see someone parked across two spots, I’d squeeze my little Chevy Cavalier into one of the spots, making sure that I was entirely within the lines.
I’m quite sure there were a few people over the years that had to climb in from the passenger side. Which, in my defense, was easier back then when bench seats were more common.

Yeah, I saw a car with that logo a few weeks ago and took a picture to post here, but didn’t get around to it.

I don’t like it.

The most interesting vehicle I saw yesterday was a bike with homemade pogies (overmitts that attach to flatbar handlebars that you insert your hands into so you can keep them warm/dry in cold/rainy weather)

He had what looked like a 1 gal bottle of windshield washer fluid that he cut a flap in the side to stick his hand in.

Mid-60’s (not sure of the exact year) Chevy C-10 panel truck parked at a local tool & hardware store:

I saw this one a few years ago

The car’s just a bog standard Mazda3, but what’s with that “Rudolph” badge? I guess maybe that’s the dealership that sold it, but that seems like if they wanted to advertise their dealership they’d make the badge a little less cryptic that just Rudolph.

ETA: And I didn’t realize the bumper was so reflective that I was also taking a selfie when I photographed the car.

Yup

It’s also on the plate frame.

Good thing you were wearing clothes!

Reflectoporn is real.

I was behind a Tesla this morning and admired a tasteful SpaceX logo on the tail.

On our trip to the Olympic Peninsula last week, amongst all of the regular cars, pick-up trucks, logging trucks. SUVs, etc., I saw an MGA.

Along with the rust and primer colored 240Z linked above, in my weekend trip to LA I saw a Vinfast (probably) VF-8. I saw it both parked and driving around.

I also saw my first rear-steer fire truck! Probably the one linked below or similar. I’ve seen them on TV, and read about them in kids’ books, but recall ever seeing one in the wild.

Correct name is a tiller truck

I saw a car carrier filled with Cybertrucks. For the longest time I didn’t see any of them but now I see a few each week. They don’t get better looking over time.

Behold the plowed snowbergs of Los Angeles, the paddock scraped clean to its base-ice, the leafless trees bearing the worse of the long, frigid months.

Agree. Now that the novelty is gone, they look wobbly. And it’s remarkable how many have been wrapped which must cost a bit.
