What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I started a thread about small cargo vans based on seeing the Ram Promaster City the other day, and today I saw the Chevy City Express. Just a rebadged Nissan NV200 but it caught my eye.

Not today, but when I took my parent’s car into the shop, they were working on a 70’s corvette. I asked if it was the commemorative model, because I had saw one in high school, and they looked identical. The guy said it was a year after and they kept the same basic design for two years in a row.

I saw a Weinermobile on the highway the other day.

From what I’ve read it’s about the only thing…I agree it’s a beautiful car, as was the Montreal, one of many cars I lusted after as a kid (even now).

LaFerrari on my way to work. Couldn’t believe it. I’d heard there was one in the area.

Huh. I don’t think they even made a Corvette the year after. They skipped a year then started the new angular models.

For certain values of reliable, yes.
The first book I ever read on auto repair said “Italian cars are like Italian movie stars, they lead short exciting lives.”

Didn’t see it, just pictures, but it looks much faster than when I owned it. Or just driven crazier. Didn’t know it could fit on an eighth-mile track, much less with a bunch of similar cars.

Hmmm, we never formally made the deal, I just swapped it for repairs on another. I might still own it.

Today’s sighting at the Atlanta Four Seasons –> a black Ferrari FF
in black, with black wheels, very similar to the online image.

Beautiful. I look forward to my first sighting.

2015 Ferrari FF
MPG: 11 city / 16 highway
MSRP: From $295,000
Horsepower: 651 HP
Engine: 6.3L V12
0-60 mph: 3.5 seconds
¼-mile: 11.7 seconds @ 122 mph

A Porsche 968 Cabriolet - had to look closely at the rear deck to identify the model number.

I don’t what kind of SUV it was but I saw some guy trying to open the car with his iPad and was also trying to force a side window open . I hope it was his car . He looked really pissed off so I said nothing , he was talking to the IPad too having no luck opening the car. I don’t think I would want a car like that but it was interesting watch the guy try to get into it. LOL!

We recently moved to Hollywood and the number of BMW and Mercedes is stunning. I’d see one a day maybe in Minneapolis. Here it is quite literally every third car.

So, I have no cool car to report today. I did see some cool looking Tesla. Don’t know the model.

I saw two parked about 30 yards apart at Laguna Seca last weekend. Turned out that one of 'em belongs to a guy I know.

Heading home from work two days ago I spotted an obvious super car coming off of the interstate but I couldn’t tell what it was. It went back right on in the opposite direction. I finally caught up to it and it was a McLaren 650s. The owner was obviously having some fun with it and the only reason I was able to catch it is because the exit he took was backed up.

I saw a vehicle that was very interesting to me (and I’d love it if someone could tell me what it might have been), mostly because the back of it had no insignia or make or model name of any kind.

This vehicle was some kind of SUV or minivan or some crossover of the two. It was silver, the back was pretty much vertical, flat and square, with a nice big rectangular window in the liftgate, which comprised the entire back of the vehicle. I was behind it and couldn’t see anything else. As I said above, no model, no maker, no writing of any kind except the license number.

Until I got alongside and passed it, and tried to see the marque in the front in my side mirror (I couldn’t see any model information on the side either). But traffic was heavy and it was falling behind, so I didn’t get a good look. But it sure looked like the MBZ 3-cornered star.

So I have searched online for any MBZ model that it might have been. It seemed to be about the size of a large SUV like an Escalade, but without any significant trim. I thought it looked great. Maybe it was a gray market car imported by the owner, I don’t know. Any ideas?

A DeTomaso Pantera. Loud, rumbly. And then who pulls up but a Ferrari 599 Berlinetta? At one point they were both right behind me, side by side. The Pantera in yellow, and the Ferrari in - of course - red.

An Olds 442 and a 1964 Corvette coupe.

First post!

The most interesting car I saw today would be the car I intend to purchase in the near future. A 2015 Subaru WRX with the infamous world rally blue paint!

AWD, sedan, 265HP, 6 speed manual, and a 2.0L turbo engine that gets up to 35 MPG.

It was the 1934 Packard dark blue, top down (white boot cover) & rumble seat closed - beautiful!

But then I saw a ‘WTF is that’ parked on the side of the road; what it was was an orange BMW 300; the front door was open & unfortunately it was gone before I could go around the block.
