What's the most interesting car you saw today?

Jaguar XF on the way to work. Metallic red; pretty car.

A neighbor has a new Jaguar F Type convertible, in black. Its easily the nicest car parked on the streets and driveways around here.

A hard driven BWM 2002 in British racing green.

Saw a 60s VW Beetle in the lot at work, not rusty but unrestored, black with red vinyl interior. Surprising, because I remember how sucky the heat was on aircooled Porsches. I’ve seen an old VW Bus here as well, it’s gotta be the same guy, I’m thinking.

I saw a Vespa motor scooter with a sidecar! (Does that count as a car?)

Sure, why not? We’ve mentioned some motorcycles here before!

They probably didn’t call it BRG. Porsche called theirs Irish Green.

A battered and faded old Reliant Scimitar with surfing stickers on the back window.

Yesterday, SWMBO & I went to the San Francisco Auto Show. Lots of eye candy there, and all it takes is garage space and $$$. But until then, we can dream, can’t we? Like the 2015 Pagani Huayra.
The San Francisco Academy of Art University had some of their collection there, including:

They have their own museum. We’ll have to go! http://www.academyautomuseum.org/

Here is their collection: http://www.academyautomuseum.org/index.php/nggallery/page/3?page_id=13

On Thursday I saw the McDonald’s Red Shoe mobile up close & also saw the Planter’s Peanut mobile drive by.
Today I, sadly, thought it was going to be the Mercedes S430 that was lowered; you don’t ghetto out a beautiful car like that! :frowning:

Then I saw this exact badass-looking 1987 Land Rover Defender 130 Camper. It is still for sale, but it’s dropped to an asking price of upper $60’s.
Will you guys chip in if I start a gofundme page?

Saw a Porsche 924S in my neighborhood today. Not much of an exotic, but you don’t see too many of those old front-engined Porsches around anymore. I can hardly remember the last time i saw a 944 or a 928 either.

A Ford Falcon Futura, 4-door, in blue, parked in front of my favorite neighborhood diner.

A Buick Regal Grand National. Not a GNX, though.

I occasionally see a ratty 944 some kid bought for a few grand thinking he’ll restore it only to wind up beating on it instead. But 928s? Yeah, I haven’t seen one since I saw the new owner drive off in mine. I’d love to get another 928…

A 1958 Chevy Impala, mint condition, with the original red interior.

I saw a red Acura NSX today.

My first car was a 1984 Chevette. It literally went “putt-putt-putt”. One Saturday, I drove completely around I-285, the bypass highway that surrounds Atlanta, to see if I could get the Chevette up to 60 mph. It took about three or four minutes of my foot to the floor, but it got there.

Then the engine caught fire.

That’s even more legendary than my old Gremlin. With that flat back, I could reach 70 mph on a flat road with a very strong tailwind. All the weight was up front and the drive wheels were in the rear. What a silly car. Still the thing lasted me several years but I don’t want to talk about all the $$ that I had to sink into it.

A Polaris Slingshot, on Boston roads in 42 degree weather.

At last! a Corvette for those who hit their mid-life crises without being rich enough to afford a Corvette.

I bet the thing is a real chick magnet - esp. in the dead of winter.
