What's the most interesting car you saw today?

A brand-new Prius. Painted bright, flamboyant, lavender.

Officially the most fabulous car on the road.

Not today, but a few days back when in Portland OR, a Saab 96 on the street looking very hipster.

It was [del]revenue[/del] speed enforcement day on the expressway today.
Included in the mix was an unmarked 4-door F250. I’ve never seen one of those as a PD vehicle before; I wonder if it was a drug forfeiture vehicle?

At first I saw the lightbar on the marked unit up ahead, as I got closer I noticed two vehicles in front of it & thought it was an accident. As I looked over I didn’t see any damage & then noticed the red & blue LEDs on the ‘running board’ (& then grille & headliner lights in the mirror when I passed.)
There was also a marked vehicle who had someone pulled over the other way & an unmarked Explorer lying in wait up ahead.

Tesla Model S, turned out it belongs to the family my friends and I were dining with.

I’ve seen them at speed traps in Ohio, but that was several years ago. I’ve also seen SUVs, Mustangs, minivans, and even a Dodge Omni GLH as stealth cop cars.

A black El Camino, must have been lured out of the heated garage by our warm Feb weather.

A first generation Ford Mustang convertible (not sure which year) in orange, taking advantage of the mild February Boston weather.

Hi Telemark, how is Boston “Still, Titletown”?

Yesterday, one of my favorites, a Lotus Elise.

@0822 this morning in San Jose CA, a beautifully maintained red Porsche 912, CA plates RXT338. Not a trailer or garage queen, she looks like a daily driver.

An ISO Rivolta

That’s gotta be in the running for ugliest car ever.

Ferrari FF.

See lots of Ferraris around here, but the FF is a rare sight. Surprisingly large car.

Interesting, I never saw that one before. Also, just today I saw my first pictures of the Mazda RX-Vision concept car, and it looks like they stole pretty liberally from the FF.

Spent a couple of days in Los Angeles over the weekend. High-end cars are all over the place, especially on the west side of town around Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Hollywood, etc.

But the Maseratis and Lamborghinis of Melrose Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard weren’t the highlight of the trip. I made my first visit to the recently renovated Petersen Automotive Museum, and it was great. I spent a good three hours wandering around the collection, taking a bunch of pictures. It’s not the biggest collection in the world, but there are some fantastic examples of classic automobiles.

I’ve posted my pictures (all 230 or so!) online, for anyone who’s interested.

Fantastic pics! What us the green torpedo like one near the bottom left?

It’s called a Davis Divan, and is from the late 1940s. You can read its story on Wikipedia, including the fact that the guy who built it ended up convicted of fraud and theft.

This morning in Beatty NV, right behind the Atomic Inn hotel, a white 1970s vintage Ford C Series COE (cab over engine) modified to hold a pickup truck bed in the back.

mhendo, thank you for the eye candy. The cars are fabulous and your photography is excellent. I will have to make time for the Peterson Automotive Museum sometime this year.

Quality photography…they ought to be published!

Just now in ATX (Austin TX): Porsche 944. Like my wife used to drive.
