Last week at Walmart I saw this: menasha-man-builds-back-future-time-machine
It would be very cool to see one running on the road. At the DMC dealership near Houston they have a mock-up also. I’m not sure if that one runs.
I saw a hot pink metalic flake Lambourghini. Does that count as interesting or obnoxious. Also yesterday, saw a Cadillac Escalade parked in a “small cars only” spot. (See this every Sunday, and it annoys me to no end)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes a unique paint scheme described in words, when read, sounds atrocious. But sometimes a unique paint scheme just works and is hard to describe.
What did you think of it?
Actually there was an iridescence to the car that was hard to describe. Hot pink is my favourite colour but that colour on a Lambourghini looked awful to me. My thought was “more money than taste.” I would only ever have that colour on a Volkswagen Beetle, and only in a glossy colour, no metallic flake. I pretty much think pink sucks as a car colour.
I do see this car around from time to time, (it has to be the same car) next time I see it I will take a picture.
A white Ford Mustang II sedan, 1976: CA-290STO. Very clean. I haven’t seen a sedan Mustang II since I can’t remember when. I was somewhat surprised that they are pretty small.
A (relatively) new yellow Country Squire wagon.
Yes, it was a package for the Alpha Spider produced in the 80’s. A guy I know had one until he sold it last summer. Other than the badge on the trunk I couldn’t tell you what was different about it.
Technically they didn’t offer a sedan (only coupe and hatchback… it was probably a notch back coupe), but damn if it didn’t come close in appearance. This was a sad time for Mustangs.
It was the coupe, notch back. Not the fastback design.
A very clean 1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. Parking at Safeway, the man said he’s had it since it was new. Original owner.
Lotus Evora. There was a “TrackNight” event locally and I stopped by to talk to a few friends. It was beautiful. And tiny.
Colin Chapman lives on. Make them light, then make them lighter still.
Today was a very good day! Two American muscle cars of the 1990s. 1990 muscle, you may asky? Why yes…
First, a rare Buick Regal Grand National GNX. I’m not sure what year. It had to be an early 1990s model because it had the 3.8 SFI TURBO on it. Assuming it was stock, of course. I have never, ever seen a Regal Grand National GNX Experimental in the wild. I’d love to!
And then I saw a Chevy Impala SS, the mid-1990s kind, in black. Black is their best color, IMO. I’ve seen some in maroon and I prefer the black.
A good day, especially because of the 3.8 SFI TURBO GNX.
Now that there’s no chance of snow, I’ve been seeing the green 73/74 era Dodge Charger regularly.
A 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe at the Walmart. Red body and white roof. These were fairly common back in the day. Got the year off the for sale sign in the window. Yours for only $9k. Looked to be very well maintained.
The contrasting white top really highlighted the “bubble top” appearance. Good sized windows compared to some others of the era. Deluxe indeed.
First car I’ve posted here that’s older than me I think.
A Bentley Continental GT coupe, in light blue.
Today I managed to PARK a cherry red Lotus Esprit V8.

I’m jealous!
Today I saw a Smart car. The interesting thing is that it was parked roadside, where all the cars there were parallel parked - except the Smart car was nosed in to the curb, perpendicular to the other parked cars(!). Its butt stuck out a little bit, but not much. That was pretty cool.
Today, I saw a Chevrolet Tahoe. It wasn’t interesting until the blue and red lights on top started to wink at me.
I forgot to renew my license tabs. :smack:
I got off with a verbal warning and a big grin over the Radio LeMans sticker on the back of my vehicle.
I saw a late '60s Camaro SS; white soft top over orange. It would have looked better w/o the water on my windshield. Seriously dude, Why do you have that almost 50 yo car out in the rain?
A ½ mile later there was a classic Jeep CJ-x on a trailer, with the spare tire on the left. Any idea of the year? I don’t remember the left side mounted version.
