What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I was in downtown San Francisco last night, and a Bay Area Aston Martin dealer had four Astons lined up on Montgomery Street, outside an expensive men’s store.

I snapped a picture with my phone, although the bad light, combined with the headlights of oncoming cars, means that it didn’t turn out great. If you look closely, you can see that the second car in line is the special edition DB10, as featured in the (fucking awful) James Bond film Spectre.

I saw the Hershey Kiss mobile yesterday.
Today I saw a bright yellow Smart car…pulling out of the Porsche dealership. :smack:

An International Scout, early 70s style and color.

Early 70s Cutlass in metallic medium blue and a white interior, with modern chrome 5 spokes. Plus one of the new Stingrays in dark red. I love the front but I miss the round lights in the back. I think the new tail lights are ugly.

A Bentley Flying Spur - very spiffy

A 2nd generation (1963-67) Chevy Corvette convertible, light blue, top down, cruisin’

Tesla Roadster… I’ve seen tons of the later versions, but I think this was the first roadster. It looked like a Lotus Esprit. Cool car and I hear they are going to remake one starting next year.

I saw a new 2016 Mazda CX-9 (just released) when I was at the Mazda dealer yesterday. I was having my 2012 CX-9 serviced and made the mistake of wandering into the showroom…now I want a new one!

A plain ordinary Toyota Corolla…with Medal of Honor tags.

I was on in Interstate in Pennsylvania when I noticed a fire engine driving the other direction. When it passed, I read the name on the door…
HICKAM
AFB

Musta been one 'ell of a fire to bring equipment from that far away!

1st generation Ford Mustang convertible, metallic blue

Bentley Continental GT Speed, light blue.

Tesla Model S, in Philadelphia PA. And also in Redwood City CA.

The Tesla Model S is commonly seen in the SF Bay Area, but in my 3 weeks of vacationing in Washington DC, Mount Vernon VA, Williamsburg and Yorktown and Jamestowne and Monticello VA, and Philadelphia PA, and driving for 1,100 miles in those three weeks there, I only saw two Tesla Model Ss.

On the way home from SFO airport tonight I saw a Tesla Mosel S in Redwood City CA. I’m home for 10 minutes and there it was.

I see them weekly in central Indiana.

My son works at a very nice country club… I had to drop something off for him… Lexus F series right next to a 2016 Stingray.

Two of them in the same parking lot (both black… may not have been the speed version).

Yesterday it was a Porsche 944 carrying what appeared to be a large comfy chair jammed in the back, with the open hatch tied down on top of it.

It’s been Back to the Fifties week here in town so there’s been lots of lovingly restored cars to look at. As usual though, my favorite is the BMW Isetta with the front door.

What’s the most interesting car I saw today? Too hard to decide.

A Cummins diesel-powered Rat Rod.
Something like this:

A Hindustan Ambassador taxi, but they’re somewhat common here in Bangalore. Another interesting model was the Maharinda e2o electric car.

A 1920s-era (or early 1930s-era) pickup truck, parked on the street in downtown Alexandria.

As if that weren’t enough: in the truckbed, there was full-sized (or very nearly full-sized) and very lifelike horse statue.

It (the statue) was facing backward, I guess the horse didn’t care to see where it was going.
