What's the most interesting car you saw today?

Ummm, that is a TR2 or TR3. Not Triumph’s first sports car by a long shot.
Wonderful car, it is on my bucket list.

Google Image search on that picture says it is the first production TR2. I can see where the confusion comes from. Still a really cool car.

A few interesting ones.

About a week ago, a London taxi, painted pink. (Had the logo of some hotel on the door, but I can’t remember which one.)

Saturday, a second-generation Corvette.

Last night, a Cadillac XLR. Never seen one before; according to Wikipedia only about 15,000 were made.

Funny, I saw one yesterday as well. On I-93 headed south out of Boston, top down.

I saw two on my 20 drive home from work one night last week. I seem to see one every few months or so. I didn’t know they were considered that unusual. I’d love to have one some day.

I also didn’t realize they were rare - my mom’s buddy drives one.

I live near a couple of Art Cars and see them fairly regularly in my neighborhood. We used to have a dragon mobile, an older Civic looking thing with a dragon head coming out of the roof, the sides painted like scales. I haven’t seen the penny car in a year or so, but I believe it’s still around somewhere.

Some friends just spotted this art car yesterday. I can’t imagine it handles well at highway speeds.

Not today but recently, I saw two De Loreans cruising down the freeway.

Sorry, yes, the first TR2. Forgive me; I’m way out of my depth when talking about cars. But I’ve seen it in person plenty of times, and it is indeed beautiful.

Is that the Dodge Omni COD?

Are you sure the second one wasn’t actually the first one four seconds later? You know how those Flux Capacitors are.

I just saw aSmart Fortwo Electric Drive. Didn’t even know those were for sale here.

Something ate my post.

I missed the part about the first sports car.
I met Joe Richards years ago at Watkins Glen, and got to see this very car run the Glen.

My -3 is just as nice, but certainly not as rare!

Does your boss intend to drive it at all, or just show it around? It would please everyone who sees it at a vintage race.

D’oh! :smack:

Years ago I was visiting the house I used to live in, out in Bellevue WA. We came around the corner and there was a Delorean. And another Delorean. And a third, fourth, fifth, etc. We had stumbled on a meeting of the Delorean club of Seattle.

Awful cars, especially in BTTF mode, but gorgeous. Especially this one, which somone managed to paint black.

Just saw two Tesla S in the space of two days round about my neck of the woods (Cal central coast) Surprising. Very impressive looks.

I live in Carlisle, PA, which has 11 car shows between April and October. During a car show weekend, it’s rare when I don’t see something interesting.

But today? The sprog’s school principal drives a Chevy Bel Air that he restored himself. He keeps it garaged during the winter and brings it out when it’s nice.

Not much interesting today, best of the bunch was a fairly sad looking MB 300D from the early 80’s.

I was in the driveway washing cars today when a yellowOpel GT drove by. I yelled & waved, but we’re a little far back from the road to be noticed unless you’re looking.

My oldest sister had a yellow one back in 1977 or so, and I’ve always loved them. Cute as a bug, and a little Corvette-like.

I haven’t seen one in years, and then one drives by the house!
