What's the most interesting car you saw today?

Gorgeous.

Bueller…? Bueller…?

'92 Integra hatchback, white

My first car was a 91, black.
::does math::
Holy S#!*, my first car could have antique plates now. :frowning:

A 1960s Citroën DS.

This actually happened yesterday…

I have a 2012 Mazda CX-9 (large 3-row CUV/SUV) and I just bought new tires a few months ago. The tire shop that I use doesn’t check/adjust wheel alignment but, after spending $1300 on a new set of Michelins, I wanted an alignment done. I got a coupon from the dealer last week for an alignment at half-price ($49.95 vs. $99.95), so I decided to let them do it.

While I was waiting, I ventured into the showroom and saw the brand new version of my car- the 2016 Mazda CX-9. The original CX-9 was introduced in late 2006 as a 2007 model, got a mild update in 2010 and a more extensive facelift in 2013. But this is an entirely new vehicle from the ground up! It’s definitely a looker…and it drives like a dream! Yes, I took it for a test drive but I fought temptation and managed to drive away in my ‘old’ 2012 instead of the new one…for now, at least!:smiley:

Yesterday was a good day for a drive. My wife and I took our baby, the 1963 Porsche 356 cabriolet out for a spin. We hadn’t run him (it’s a him, not a her) in quite a while, so it was good to stretch his legs. We drove up into the local Santa Cruz mountains for lunch. On the way we saw a 1971 Chevelle SS, and then in the twisty mountain roads we were passed by two guys driving together in a Ferrari 360 Modena and a Corvette Z06.

Just now, a very clean Mercedes Benz 350SL convertible, approximately vintage 1985. A senior gentleman, leaving the AAA office in Mountain View CA.

A first generation (1962-1971) Jeep Gladiator pickup truck, on a flat bed unfortunately.

I just got back from Glacier NP where we saw lots of 1936 White Model 706 Touring Buses, which are the coolest thing ever.

A ground up resto of a black 1975 Vandura boogie van, complete with highway mirrors, roof vent, diamond side windows, 5 spoke rallye rims and cb antennas!

A Ford GT with classic orange and blue Gulf colors like 60s era GT40s.

A 1970 Ford Torino fastback, it seemed like a wicked big car.

DeTomaso Pantera. Bright yellow.

3rd generation (1967-1974) Chevy Nova, green with black racing stripes.

Yesterday I saw the B[del]ud[/del]light party RV drive past while I was at a red light.
Today, I’m stopped at a red light when I notice that the back of the Ford Econoline in front of me has the words, “Emergency Exit” painted on the bottom of the door.

Then I notice the personalized plate & the crate I can see thru the rear window; it’s a dog bus!
I’m guessing some local doggy daycare/camp has pickup/bus service.

This morning on my way to work I saw a completely nondescript white panel van, in good condition but with no markings or advertising on the side, with shiny, glittery flames painted all over the front half.

I haven’t yet been able to figure out why anybody would do that. I’m hoping this is just the first step, and eventually the side will have some kind of elven warrior queen riding a wolverine into battle or something.

A friend of mine did that with his van in California. Flames on the front half of a white panel van, and no lettering or other markings. It’s just a design, to break up the monotony of a white panel van.

Dodge Viper, bright red. I haven’t seen a Viper in quite some time.

I was at the Automotive Museum in Balboa Park today and got to see Louis Mattar’s Fabulous 1947 Cadillac. There was also an exhibit of “Star Cars” such as KITT, the Green Hornetmobile, Starsky and Hutch’s Gran Torino, Christine and The Mystery Machine.

The most interesting car i’ve seen today is a mid-1950s Cadillac El Dorado, in perfect condition. It’s parked just down the block from my place, in front of a cafe.

The most unusual car event of my day was seeing three identical black four-door Maseratis in a row, in the line to enter the San Diego Zoo parking lot in Balboa Park. That was at about 8.20 this morning.

And in other news, what do you get when you try to mate a Mercedes 380SL and a Ferrari 458 Speciale? An expensive repair bill, i’m guessing.

We finally went to the monthly Porsche 356 breakfast in San Mateo - we’ve been members for years, but haven’t gone in many moons. Lots of 356s were there, and all were most interesting.

Lots today, we were passing through Kennebunkport, ME and all sorts of cars were out today:
