My favorite ‘car’ in that collection is the 1908 International Harvester Autobuggy. A guy near me brings his 1907 to local car shows every summer.
He restored it in his high school shop class - in 1947!

Tomorrow is Caffeine and Octane here in Atlanta. I’ll see some neato cars tomorrow AM.
1949 Crosley, black, on a trailer.
The other day on the highway in Cupertino was a red Ferrari 308 GTS targa, just like Magnum P.I.
I’m sitting in the left turn lane at a red light when a white sedan pulls up next to me in the go-straight lane, driven by a black male, bald with a beard that was partially grey. Seamed appropriate since I’d put him in his 50’s; he was the only one in the car.
At the top of his door, I see “Boop-Oop-A-Doop”.
I sit up a little straighter in my seat & see an image of Betty Boop covering most of the door. The car also has pink headlight/eyelashes, a “Team Boop” on the front quarterpanel, & when it pulls away, the rear bumper has a pink trim stripe…except for the middle where it has the word “D I V A”.
It was driven by a eunuch because, clearly, your old lady has removed 'em for you to be seen solo in that!
Canary Yellow Dodge Viper convertible
I completely forgot about those. I could not have hated a car more as a teenager.
Ha. Looking unusually pristine too. Those were not quality kit cars.
I was at Road America for the IMSA race a couple of weeks ago. Lots of fantastic cars. The one that was most memorable though was a Ford GT40. Not just because it was a GT40 but because I first spotted it in the parking lot of my Microtel hotel over 1/2 hour away from the track. Imagine a guy who can afford a GT40 having to stay at a Microtel. That’s how crowded the local accomodations get when there’s a big event at R.A.
nothing special, white Bentley continental
Well, it was interesting all right. But not glamorous. I landed behind a recycling garbage truck that had been bent, folded, spindled and then pounded back into shape. Every time it went over a bump, bits of broken glass slipped out the gaps between the sides and the bottom to litter the highway. Grrrrr.
Yesterday, two Maseratis, a Quattroporte and a GranTourismo.
Today, a Jaguar E-type Convertible, in BRG.
3rd Generation (1961-1964) Chevy Impala convertible in bright red
Nothing fancy or exotic, and not even a classic… instead, a throwback to what life looked like about 35 years ago…
… a nondescript, humble, and yet clean and straight… 1982 (approx) Ford Fairmont station wagon.
:shudder: - when I think that’s how most or many American cars looked like in the 1980s, I do shudder.
an early 90’s Ferrari Testerossa.
1st generation (1967-69) Chevy Camaro convertible
Today was a Maserati day - I saw a Quattroporte, and two Ghiblis.
