What's the most interesting car you saw today?

No bikes on the rack this time. Last time one bike was on but it survived unscathed. Off to the collision shop for an estimate. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

Glad you’re OK.

Nice rack!

I’m a middle aged guy… I guess by saying “middle” age I plan to live to 110. I have old man eyes, and even I could tell a Maserati Quattroporte over a Honda Accord in a half a second or less even without my glasses.

I did see a transport truck with eight cars wrapped in plastic covers with Maserati printed on the side so I suppose I could almost agree with you that time.

My wife however would probably agree and happily go shopping for a new mini-van with you (the deciding factor is the number of cup holders apparently.)

Maserati Ghibli.

Ya know how the “Mercedes in the Wal-Mart parking lot” is now common?

This was in a Wal-Mart parking lot - real close to the door, parked across two “No Parking” slots.

I was wondering who had adopted the old Buick trick of fate exhaust ports on the hood.

Suspected a kit for a VW chassis.

I know a store like this pulls in over a million a day, but this was a bit flashy for the store.

A Stanley Steamer!

Very cool.
A Ford Anglia 105E, right-hand drive, like this one: Ford Anglia - Wikipedia

In Mountain View CA.

Also today in Mountain View, an early 80s Toyota Supra. All yellow, very clean.

Gold '65 GTO. Looked nice, it was driving the opposite direction so didn’t get too good a look but at a glance it looked clean and straight.

I saw it on Youtube today. It’s an s-Cargo (video here). The guy in the video calls it the ugliest car every made but I believe that that honor goes to the 2cv (although the headlights on the s-Cardo remind me a bit of the 2cv).

There are a few other videos of the car there, also.

In Willow Glen today, a 1963(?) Ford Falcon Ranchero.

Good day today, saw a few nice cars out enjoying the fine fall weather. The first was the best, a first generation (1967-69) Chevy Camaro SS in great condition. The driver even floored it after we went by to show what it had under the hood.

Next was a second generation (1960-64) Ford Galaxy convertible, not in pristine condition but nice enought. With the top down the driver looked like he was having a great time.

Finally a cherry red Series 2 (2001-2011) Lotus Elise in perfect condition. Looks fast even when stopped in traffic.

I love the Lotus Elise, it’s a beautiful car.

From directly behind, it was not at all distinctive looking unless you look fairly closely (which I, not feeling like committing vehicular homicide, couldn’t do). Certainly put it next to more generic sedans and it would look a bit different - for one thing, the body was a bit wider than the window / roof section, like it had wide hips or something - but with the name Maserati you expect it to look really sporty and stylin’.

And I admit I’m with your wife - OK, not a minivan any more but I lurves me my generic Honda CR/V and would happily get a new one when the time comes. To be fair, if you’re seating 5 in that thing, it does NOT have adequate cupholder space. I’d recommend looking for a vehicle with plenty of power outlets as well ;).

Yesterday I saw one of the L.L. Bean boot cars. In upstate NY.

A Jeep Comanche pick up, past produced 20 years ago, hauling a bunch of junk.

Just a bunch of Spec Racer Fords this weekend along with assorted other race cars.

I miss mine. Some days, at least.

Maserati Ghibli - a pretty car.

Chevy El Camino from the early to mid 80’s. It looked like it was being cared for pretty well, the driver appeared to be younger than the car.
