Porsche 911 Carrerra 4 GTS. I swear the wind was lining up to flow over that pretty car.
It’s amazing to me just how often people don’t see time getting away from them. Someone at work rides a vintage Harley he just restored. He bought a new bike back in the 80s and sold the Harley to his BIL, who rode it one season and set it aside because he planned to customize it. Twenty years later his gives it back for free, having never ridden it again, and the guy restored it and has started riding it.
A couple weeks ago I was behind a yellow Pantera at a stoplight. It was gorgeous, but the exhaust - I presume having a lead substitute or just zero emissions controls, gave me a headache after thirty seconds.
Today I saw two Ferraris - a shiny black brand new California T that was nice, but nowhere near as kickass as the 308 GTS that looked like it had just finished filming an episode of Magnum P.I. It was either lovingly restored or extremely well cared for.
Not a car, but what appeared to be a WW2 era US Army motorcycle with sidecar.
Two BWM i8s, one in white and one in gold, on the exact same stretch of road on consecutive commutes.
1959 El Camino. Looked to be original paint, or at least, an old repaint.
A beautifully restored 1960 Corvette convertible. Red, of course.
Mullet: */ˈmʌlɪt/ * A hairstyle in which the hair is short at the top & long at the back; also known as “business in the front, party in the back”.
You know what’s the opposite of a mullet - something that’s party in the front & work in the back. (Notice I didn’t say “hairstyle”, I said “something”.)
I’m guessing you’d call this a vaump truck???
Which part do you think is original, the front or the back?
1968 Corvette convertable, white. I had forgotten about all those curves.
A 1956 or 1957 Chevy Bel Air, in wonderfully restored shape, out for a drive on a sunny Saturday.
I saw an Opel GT, 3 Austin-Healeys, a Triumph Spitfire, and a Sunbeam Tiger.
Just another day in the car show capital of the United States.
A Porsche 914, and whenever I see one on the road (like today) I am amazed at how small they are. And I keep saying that.
Also today, a Pontiac Fiero 2M4.
Who’s got two thumbs and drives an Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4 Sport?
But of course no sooner did I pull out of the dealership, an AM DB11 pulls up next to me.
Not so unusual, but when I saw this in my rear-view, I thought of a huge bulldog snarling at me. Like someone had a novelty vehicle like the Oscar Mayer Wiener-mobile.

I saw a car I had forgotten about when at a club race this weekend. It is called an SSZ Stradale and was built in Wisconsin.
An orange smart Car with “01” painted on the doors & a personalized license plate - DAISY D
Two 1st-gen RX-7s today, 1 parked, and 1 running.
(Hard to believe that those cars are almost 40 years old!)
A 1959 Ford Fairlane convertible in bright green, on the highway at 70 mph.
