Yesterday i saw what I am assuming is some customized vehicle that looked like the bastard child of a Toyota RAV4 and a Bentley. All SUV in the back, luxury look of a sedan with sleek lines in the front. It was a disturbingly odd combination.
Not today, but almost 2 years ago, I was in the “factory” that was building the Terafugia Transition . There were a couple versions plus one being tested. At the time they said they had already flown them. They are cute little 2-seaters but I wouldn’t want to drive them around town – the wings blocked a lot of the sides.

A 1959 Cadillac Eldorado. It’s parked just down the road from me and looks absurd.

It’s a Cadillac – they all look absurd.
Dang. I want that pink Caddie Tee.
Today I was cut off by a Willys Jeep, with a really clueless driver.
Saw a Polaris Slingshot today - they look even more weird in person.
An ugly duckling siting, a Citroën 2CV. The Citroën Deux Chevaux.
Ugly? I think it’s kind of cute, in an odd and quirky way.
1972 Chevy Chevelle SS in deep blue, yum
Cadillac XLR in St. Michaels, MD. (Note to owner: Clean your car every now and then, you lazy slob.)
I could never decide whether or not I like the XLR.
I like that it’s a unique design. But it may be one of the most uniquely ugly cars ever produced.
Yesterday I saw the Planter’s Peanuts Nutmobile. I walked all around it and noticed the Wisconsin license plate PLANTRS. It was parked at the Hertz Rent-A-Car on River Street in Hackensack, New Jersey. A young man came out of the Hertz, went into the car and drove off.
Talking about our surreal experiences. The Wisconsin Nut Mobile at a Hertz Rent-A-Car in Hackensack, New Jersey?
Who rents a nut out in Hackensack? Is that all you get for your money?
A great looking Studebaker Avanti. And I say great looking as in great condition; I still think they look like insects.
A 1980s Toyota MR2 – the 1st generation. Boy, cars from the 1980s sure were boxy.
Yeah, looks like somebody tried to make a VW Beetle replica out of corrugated roofing panels.
Went to a wedding last Saturday and the bride and groom drove away in thier cherry 69 GTO Judge in Hugger Orange. Niiiice rumble from that 400 4 bbl.
Also this weekend I saw a Suzuki Carry van at an ATV rental place in northern NH. Not sure if it was for off roading or what.
I saw one for the first time last week in a dealer garage, cute lil bug-faced thing.
It was near a monstrous silver '53 Buick Super 8 Wagon that made everything around it look like feeder fish.
Apparently this happened in Seattle a few days ago.
I’m not sure that “interesting” is the word the car’s owner would use to describe the situation. ![]()
That thing is AMAZING. Thanks for the video. Super cool! Goodbye, rush hour traffic, Ha HA!!!
Seen in Pismo the last couple of days: a nice little red Corvette('61?) and a sort of cool-looking electric runabout with horns tie-wrapped to the headlights.
Today I saw a 1948 MG TC at Dunkin Donuts, and later a small flock of dwarf cars.
A McLaren 650s parked on the street, in front of a popular restaurant.
