Not yet, but here’s a video from E3 that demonstrates a sword-fighting game in Nintendo’s upcoming Wii Sports Resort that makes use of a new included accessory called WiiMotionPlus that should deliver true 1:1 gameplay:
Thanks for the information. I guess I’ll have to wait until next year.
I played the golf game that came with it (Wii Sports) for about 60 seconds and hated it. Maybe I wasn’t doing it right – I thought I should turn sideways the same way the character was, instead of facing the screen.
Are the mechanics of TWG way better than that golf mini-game that came with Wii Sports?
60 seconds isn’t much time. I found it pretty intuitive (and really fun), though it does have a quirk or two. You are indeed supposed to face sideways, just like the character (in fact, you pretty much always want to assume the mii’s pose), and hold the remote like a golf club, with the buttons facing outward. It’s really quite easy–I suggest giving it another try.
If they’re anything like the 360 or PC, then yes, yes, yes, yes, a thousand times, yes. 60 seconds is about right with that piece of shit [del]game[/del] demo.
There’s no comparision between TWG and the demo game. TWG really feels like you’re out playing a round of golf.
Mario Kart Wii is the best Wii game. So much fun, especially for multiplayer. You can play online, too.
Boom Blox is another fun game. I’m also playing Animal Crossing right now, but that might get kind of old. Maybe it’s more fun when you’re a kid and don’t have to pay the mortgage, etc. for real.
