What's the most terrifying thing on the Internet you've seen?

Yesterday’s stock market closing stats.

Google Street View Fail.

The other day I ran across video taken by a Mexican cartel who executed two police informants via decapitation by chainsaw. Apparently it was posted to LiveLeak but got taken down due to violating their TOS. When it’s banned by LiveLeak, you know it’s gotta be nasty…

So does that mean a snuff film does exist?

Burning suspected witches in Africa. WARNING: This is seriously graphic stuff and the link is deliberately broken, just remove the xxx after the www.

As I understand it, it’s a very large place. And most of it is junk. How far did you go? How did you get there? What parts were so scary? I’m genuinely curious…I was gonna go look but like I said, I heard that it’s slogging through lots and lots of meaningless crap to even find things comprehensible.

I could look at piles and piles of gore all day long, of every description…but not that. It would shred me. Dead bodies are just meat. But that is a genuine emotional experience arising from a horrible experience…involving a child and a dog. No way could I would I ever watch that.

Yeah, I JUST closed the window where I COULD have watched that, but while my thirst for gore is pretty serious, it mostly stops at the actual process of going from alive to dead, particularly in close up extremely violently with the victim aware. That’s a different thing.

However, thanks to this thread (indirectly) I found a fucked up shit site I was previously unaware of, surprising in itself, and it introduced me to a lot of extreme BME video… along with a bunch of other incredibly fucked up stuff and the thing that shocks me is that even now, almost 20 years into the existence of the internet and lots of checking out fucked up shit of every possible description… I can still be shocked, freaked out and have my mind blown by human behavior.

And I would also like to vote for Mr. Hands as among the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen, even though what you see is actually very little, and in no respect gory. It’s the old imagination thing I guess…

Oh, and I can also take boatloads of gore and mangling and disease…but no shit, shit eating, vomit eating, general bodily fluid stuff… GAH…

Yeah yeah, obligatory saw Obama do the same thing…

ISIS has put out even worse ones since that. One featured all of the following: Three guys hung on chains over small fires being slowly roasted to death, four guys locked inside a car that was then shot point blank with an RPG, and four guys locked in a cage that is very slowly lowered into water and drowns them (then very slowly lifts them out dead). Again, with almost surreal high production values.

For those who haven’t seen The Station fire video, it isn’t so much graphic as it is emotionally disturbing. It’s one long unbroken take. It starts happy with the guy filming the band from the back of the crowd with everyone cheering, then it all goes bad, agonizingly slowly at first then faster and faster. The guy finally just puts the camcorder down (still running) to help the firemen.

It very much makes you feel like you’re actually there. Do yourself a favor and don’t watch it (I only watched it once…)

He may have won it once, in 2004, although the manipulation of vote-counting machines in states like Ohio would have brought investigations under any other administration than his own.

But as to 2000, it was (very quietly, yet very clearly) established that more Florida voters had selected Gore than Bush on their ballots, including the so-called “double votes” of marking both straight party-line and candidate – for the same candidate – which under Florida law made “the voter’s will” clear and should have counted as valid votes, yet were not included in the totals.

The US Supreme Court, in halting the manual recount of ballots ordered by the Florida Supreme Court, violated its own rule of deferring to state supreme courts on their interpretations of state constitutions, and two of its majority Justices ramming that decision through declined to recuse themselves despite having immediate family members employed by the Bush campaign and transition team, thus financially profiting by the decision.

So 2000 was not a case of Bush winning, but of his being handed the prize after the race was halted.

So why did you even enter this thread?

Watch Hacking Democracy, you’ll never trust any election results ever again.

Depends how rigid your definition of snuff film is. If it’s simply “real people really killed on camera”, then there are hundreds, if not thousands of snuff films out there. If it’s the more specific “real people killed for the purpose of a film (and not film of people who would’ve been murdered anyway) that was released primarily for commercial reasons”, then I don’t think there are.

The Jordanian pilot burned alive by ISIS.

I don’t recall ever seeing anything on the internet that terrified me. I don’t terrify easily.
