BG: Our rescue group depends on donations. Money is good, but many people donate related stuff, i.e. petfood, blankets and towels, kennels and doghouses, etc. We are always grateful and will pick up if needed. As the only one in the group who can move heavy objects, I’m the one who gets called to pick up the heavy stuff. /BG
The director got a call from a lady who was given a lot of bleach and wondered if we would want it. We just happen to use a lot of bleach, so of course the director said we would be happy to take it. The lady kept saying it was a LOT of bleach, very heavy and that she needed someone to come and get it.
Director called me and asked me to come and get the pickup and go 30 miles to pick up a lot of bleach. I was expecting cases of the stuff and made sure to bring a hand truck.
When I got there, a middle aged lady handed me 2 1-gallon bottles of bleach.
