My first choice is ice cream. I could eat ice cream all day long and not get sick of it.
If desserts were verboten, then I think I’d go with pizza. From crust to sauce to toppings, there’s actually a lot of variety there!

Steak and kidney pie
Yet another nomination for Pizza. There is enough variety of ingredients that I’d be less likely to get bored of it than of anything else. Mine would have a much larger ratio of vegetables (green peppers, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes etc.) to meat than would the other posters. I like dessert as much as the next guy, but it would get pretty boring pretty quick.
Probably pizza with everything on it
Pizza or pasta.
Do we get to vary how it’s prepared or instead of pasta do I have to choose lasagna?
That’s easy. Pez. Cherry flavored Pez. No question about it.
It’s a movie quote -30 seconds in
If we’re allowed to vary the specifics from day to day I think I’d say PB&J sandwiches. Think I’ll have wheat bread and strawberry preserves today. Raspberry on white tomorrow. That sort of thing.
If we can’t modify, cheerios and milk with blueberries. Any time any meal.
Ooh. Eggs. Good call, RobDog
Potato chips. You got your plain, BBQ, salt-n-vinegar, Maui onion, etc. I could plow thru a whole bag in one sitting. My weakness. My precious - I wants them, I wants the precious…
Dry aged, ribeye, cooked medium rare, sitting in a creamy au poivre sauce.
If the rules allow for a whole dinner, I’ll take that with a side of garlic mashed potatoes.
sigh
I’ve told you enough times now Mangetout. The correct spelling is “pudding”.

If this means allergies are out the window, I’m changing my choice to shrimp. Haven’t had a shrimp in years because I’ll get hives and I just don’t feel right after eating them. So… bring on a mountain of shrimp and cocktail sauce!
I was thinking of “food” as a single food…guess I should have read the OP more closely.
I’m going to go with sandwiches. Hamburgers are sandwiches. Grilled cheese…all the nice deli meats and cheeses. Yep. Sandwiches.
Fried chicken.
First would have to be salmon. So many ways to prepare it, and i even love canned salmon.
Second place, rotisserie chickens. Third, Pasta Puttanesca.
“Pizza” can include so many different foods that I think it’s good that most people who’ve mentioned it are being specific as to toppings.
If I didn’t have to be specific, I’d probably choose pizza, precisely because it can include so many different foods.
Assuming that specificity is needed, Trader Joe’s creamy unsalted peanut butter, straight from the jar. It’s my bedtime snack most nights anyway.
If beer doesn’t count, then Thai (holy) basil chicken. But it’d be tough for me. I have difficulty eating the same thing more than two days in a row.
Fruit. Pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, watermelon, apples, grapes. Those are the favorites, but a limitless fruit salad would be a dream! Especially if I didn’t have to cut all of them.
Jack Link’s A1 Sauce flavored beef jerky.
Salad, another option done lots of ways.
Pizza. Preferably from my favorite local place. Extra cheese + Canadian bacon. I never get tired of it!
I’d miss steak and chocolate, but if I had to pick one, that’d be it.
Kraft cream cheese; the bar, not the soft style in the tub.
Second choice: Greek-style skirt steak.
