What's the worst movie you have ever seen?

I saw a movie called “Bong Water” with Luke Wilson,

I like Wilson, but the movie was SO turdy!

Most of the other really bad movies I very MUCH dislike have already been mentioned. Three, however, are stand-outs:

Free Willy (including 2 and 3) - I was really hoping the whale would land on the kid in the final scene of the first movie. Would have made the movie more exciting (and improved the kid’s acting ability, to boot), but also might have saved us from the dreck of the other two.

Andre the Seal - the seal (actually a sea lion, one of many reasons I hate this movie) is a more convincing performer than the kid - ever notice her eyes disappear when she smiles, cries or pouts?

D.O.A. - the 1988 Dennis Quaid/Meg Ryan Mess. Just a plain waste of celluoid.

If any of these are on cable I hit the remote so fast, sparks fly.

The Prophecy - I saw this at the dollar theater, and I paid way to much . I saw the first five minutes of Prophecy II and III on Sci-Fi and they were much worse.

People, people, people.

Plan 9 from Outer Space.

I opened this thread just to see how many movies that I loved would be listed.

So far, it’s only two: Scenes From A Mall and Man On the Moon. I thought both of them were great.

I’ve never walked out of a movie, but I’ve considered it a few times, most notably with Six Weeks (terribly sappy and utterly unbelievable Mary Tyler Moore/Dudley Moore tearjerker), The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu (Peter Sellers’ last movie), and my personal choice for the worst movie ever made, Barbra Streisand’s The Mirror Has Two Faces. Gaaah!! I can’t even listen to her music anymore, that movie was so horrible.

“The Mirror Has Two Faces”

But the camera has only one angle.

I remember Andre the Seal. Although that movie was pretty retarted, I didn’t think it was that bad. But I was somewhat young when i saw it, if i remember.

It might have just been called Andre.

Sexy Beast. Terrible movie. Probably the worst I’ve seen in a long time.

Spartacus. My father in law watched Gladiator on my recommendation. He told me it was awful, and to watch the true Gladiator movie. 3 + hours of pain and boredom. I never made it through.

The execrable Operation Kid Brother starring Sean Connery’s brother Neil.

Apparently no one here has seen The Doom Generation. It’s just as well. It’s a horrible, pretentious GenXploitation “indepedent film” which confuses being “pointless” and “gross” with being “deep” and “mind-opening”.

The Player - I was bored to tears

Soapdish - again, I was bored to tears

The Favor - Yet again, I was bored to tears. At least I had managed to forget this one’s name, and had to look it up.

Armageddon - retarded. Deep Impact looks like a masterpiece by comparison.

Godzilla (1998) - somehow managed to be awful.

Mrs Labtrash & I just recently suffered through Soul Survivor , but two days ago, we endured the epic called Possession, with a young Sam Neil. Two hours of TOTAL CONFUSION !!!

Nobody’s mentioned Anaconda yet. I’m assuming that’s because hardly anyone here was unfortunate enough to see it. IMDb:

The people on the film crew are detestable, the villian isn’t interesting in his villiany, the movie consists of people yelling and threatening each other, and an enormous fake snake thrashing about. I was rooting for the snake, as it was the least offensive critter in the movie.

They were showing this in the room where we were waiting around to donate blood when the bloodmobile came by. Sheesh.

I haven’t seen many other movies mentioned in this thread, but Anaconda is worse than Howard the Duck (hard as that is to believe), way worse than American Pie (also not a trivial achievement), and worse than both of Tom Hanks’ clunkers in an otherwise outstanding career, The Burbs and Joe Versus the Volcano. (I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned those yet.)

That one’s on my short list of my favorite movies of all time, thanks.

I’ll list my Worst Movie picks from newest worst movie to the first worst movie I can remember. I’ve listed at least one actor/actress from each movie since I can’t remember the years these movies came out and I know sometimes movie titles are reused or very similar.
**Freddy Got Fingered ** Tom Green
**The Beach ** Leonardo Di Caprio
Intersection Richard Gere, Sharon Stone
**The Professional ** A young Natalie Portman

All of these were just too awful.

Re: All That Jazz

Well RTFirefly, there’s no accounting for some people’s taste.

Was that the one with the with the spies shooting bows and arrows? If it was, it was pretty bad. God, talk about wooden acting. But jeez, it’s been decades and decades since I saw that one.

Worst movie I saw in a theater: Dancer in the Dark. Had the lead actress been anyone but Bjork it might have worked.

Worst movie that was never expected to be good: The Castle of Dr. Fu Manchu, although Manos is a close second. While Manos was just plodding nothingness, TCoDFM threw in a new random plot point every thirty seconds.

Worst movie that was made with serious intentions: Romeo and Juliet (Baz Luhrman/Leonardo Dicaprio). Ain’t no way I’m getting dragged into seeing Moulin Rouge.

Dishonorable mention: Hudson Hawk, The Player, Popeye, On Deadly Ground.

And I thought the place I went was the only place that showed bad movies. I just start laughing at them, even when they are not funny.

After reading the thread, here are what I consider the worse movies (and that I remember):

What Women Want starring Mel Gibson and…I forgot her name. :o It could have been good, it had some potential…but it all ended in clichés.

Twister, the funniest part: Cows flying!

Superman II, granted, I only saw half of it, but…when you are laughing at a movie that supposedly is not a comedy, something’s wrong…with the movie.
